Lots now
As some of you know we are hopefully getting our new motorhome in early December so we have removed all of our personal items from our current one and being the honest and reputable persons we took our motorhome to our man in oldham to see if he could sort out the warning lights on the dash which are, brake warning on the handbrake and lane assist camera not receiving information.

Unfortunately they couldn't do anything so it went to Northern commercials in manchester.
£3500 quote to sort out the issues.
Yes £3500 ouch.
We can't trade ours in with its current condition so we have given the go ahead and will be on beans on toast without the beans for the foreseeable future 🤣🤣.
Don't you just love modern vehicles.

Hi jock/Rita it's cost us £6000 in the end. Shocking I know.
What in earth was wrong with it? Did they have to fly in a specialist team with golden tools and skills to change a fuse? I think I would be putting Morelo on speed dial and explaining about what went wrong and new van ordered and loyal customer etc, etc and if a goodwill payment would be considered

My guess is Morelo would say something along the lines of "oh very sorry to hear that but as it's an IVECO issue you need to contact them"

Bloody hell I’ve looked at the costing post 7 times now I keep thinking each time I look there will be one less nought, but no.

I’ve told Caz to go to town and buy a wet mackerel, then come home and slap me around the face with it a few times, then I’m going to re look and see if a nought too many was added.

Other than that I need a long lie down in a darkened room. Around 6 weeks would suffice.

I sense that Mr Porky may have told the garage that he needed the work done to move the van on, they in turn have charged him a fortune knowing that in 3 months time if the fault happens again because they have bodged it, it will not matter because Mr Porky will not come back to complain 👿

It is what it is. I stopped using northern commercials for my business hgv years ago, but they are the only iveco dealer around here and the only ones that could sort out the problem.
You can't take it with you move on and enjoy 👍🏻

PS can you not claim the vat back the through the business 😉

Bitterness is the route to unhappiness.

Glad it’s sorted though it must have hurt, lots!

Happy new van soon. :-)
