You sure it's for escape rooms Ian ? ????Hi foxy,, no mate nothing was specified, but the job is to turn a couple of offices into four escape rooms, which is a popular pastime these days( apparently) and each room has a theme, one is going to be a jail cell, one a vault etc, now due to the amount of props, puzzles etc that are going to be fixed to the walls I thought it was best to do more than less,,,
I would guess that you have to dig out the top soil and put down some sort of stone base compacted with a whacker then covering of sharp sand again compacted and then lay the artificial grass. May be spraying weed killer before you start to prevent weeds growing up through it.What base do you put under the artificial grass Ian?

Morning Ian.Ian, sorry you are feeling unsettled again. You just need to work for yourself I think, forget all the others.
old-mo has got a job that's right up your street have you seen his thread?Good morning,, I hope your well,,,,
I haven’t posted much because I’ve been struggling a bit, and I just can’t seem to get my head around it!!
I like Norfolk, I quite like the bloke I’m doing a bit of work for, but it’s all a bit higgle de piggldy!! A lot of landscaping work, driveways, bits and pieces, but nothing to get my teeth into really! His labourers are unreliable and when I’m set up ready to do something, I find I then have to do something different, cause they don’t turn up! I’m just struggling with the uncertainty of it!
I have had a couple of calls from the advert and I’m due to go tomorrow to price a garage build, so that’s ok, but I’m not sure I’m happy 100% doing these crappy bits and pieces in between,, I’m not having a go, cause I need the money, but working for a firm that has no organising skills is getting quite fraustrating!
I’m ok on the site I’m on, it’s nice, clean etc, other people on here are lovely, so all good!!
I think I’m struggling with the fact that I’m not able to organise anything in a way I see more efficient,,, Maybe I’m just unemployable,, I don’t know!!
I’m at a loss as to what to do! I think my old mum leaving hit me a bit harder than I thought, even though I wasn’t round her that much? Strange!
Maybe I’m just imagining it all, but I think if I’m not 100% happy with work, then it affects all other aspects of my life,,, very strange!!
Anyway, weather is lovely, Chat later! Xxxx
He knows him too , we went to meet mo at his old place when Ian was doing my job.Yes look at old-mo thread - might do you good in more ways than one, from what I read about him. He seems a good bloke & maybe older & wiser dare I say it? ?

Good luck with the smoking. Apparently more people give up with the help of vaping than any other means now.
I do. I started when vape liquid became regulated at 1.8% nicotine. I now mix at 3.5% (that I used to buy ready mixed pre-regulation). Using half-litre packs it takes about an hour to mix enough for 18 months still leaving enough nicotine for the next mix. I use 30ml squirty bottles to carry my refill liquid. It is even possible to mix your own , but as i don't , i can't comment any further
Come on let's all have a lookHi Ian
I don't post on your thread but like to keep an eye on you.
Just wondering if you would be interested in the fire that my husband and a friend built in our garden. Most people who see it want one, so I've always thought there could be a business there. Several people in our village now have one. I think you could knock one up in a day once the base is down. A man with your talents could come up with different designs. Let me if you would like a pic and I'll go and take one.
Just off to the docs will take a pic when I get back.Come on let's all have a look![]()

That's pretty much what ianthebuilder did for us but joined on the houseThere are some fantastic outdoor kitchens, pizza ovens etc that are brick built, I was considering at one time. This kind of thing but with pizza oven instead of bbq.

The double side is an excellent idea.Ok ours isn't as posh as Onemanandhisdog .
But it is a double one built between us and next door so it doesn't take up much room in the garden. They have a grate their side and we have one our side.
We light it if we want to sit out late. It also doubles up as a bbq.
Please remember this was built by two amateurs.
