Ian and helga go south !!

Ian,absolutely loving following your new life's adventure, I hope you realise the pleasure you have given to many funsters waiting for the next stage of their own personal journey, as you said when you were emptying your house so much you think you need but once got just another possession, the life you are living now goes way beyond that, thank you for sharing it. Can't wait to see were your journey takes you next, but I bet it won't be dull.

Introduce yourself to Jo , map she likes a matter online! Lol.

Well hello on this lovely sunny sat afternoon!! Went out early to get materials again today and guess what? All bloody shut again?? No idea why, perhaps tortosa decided to shut down cause they had enough!! Lol. So got back to the olive grove and proceeded to have a tidy up, started a fire, got rid of loads of rubbish etc so the morning wasn't wasted!! Will organise some work for tomorrow and then send Jo off on a shopping trip Monday! Sent her for 4in underground waste pipe on Thursday and she came back with 2 in!! All because she said the word shower and the little spaniard told her that's what she needed! Still all in a day's work, I'm sure he thought he was being helpful!! Jo apparently is catching up with her blog now so for those that have looked, thank you, she has a few lookers from here now and is very happy!!! Here is a pic of today where I'm chilling!! Chat soon. Ian. Xx

I am loving this thread and am delighted you are in the Tortosa area, it is a place we know well. We love the area and love it even more cause it is so real Spain. Loads of culture and history, great food and the Terra Alta wine is amazing. The best place we found for wine was Aldi or Mercadona. Keep up the good work!

Hi edanddeb, I really like it here in tortosa, they are staunch Catalan and have a real sense of identity, just like the uk in the past!! Lovely people, doesn't matter whether they have one euro or many thousands they are always the same ! Genuine people!! Anyway it's a great start to my travels and on my way to France later in the year I will come back and do it again!! Have a good day, Ian xx
