How green is switching to an electric car?

I can’t say how but I have seen 10 of the ford 100e running on hydrogen

Bullet proof engine like the moggy minor👍🏼

I still have a head gasket for the side valve in my garage and a few other bits from when I had the van version (Just needs a bit of T-Cut )

Ford 100e, had one of those back in the early 70's !! :giggle:
I had 2, one had a big end gone and I ran it on 3 cylinders for a while then I took the engine out of the other one that had failed it's MOT. I did the engine swap in a car park with a couple of friends helping me with the lifting
Couldn't so that with a modern car 😄

I remember my dad & a mechanic friend of his doing the same to his old 100E in a borrowed garage, he didn't even change the oil. My mum and my aunt hand painted the car sky blue afterwards with Dulux gloss paint.

I took the engine out of a Hillman Imp single handed to replace the clutch. I made a trolley out of 2"x2" timber with castors on it, removed the rear body member & slid the trolley under the engine and pulled it out. I then lifted the engine & transmission onto a B&D workmate to seperate them.
