Good deal on KTM Duke 390's just now.

Thought I would have a look and see if there was any info about the upcoming Duke 790 on the internet and found that KTM dealers had a fantastic offer on the 390,£1500 off brand new pre-reg '17 models. Couldn't pass up such an offer so have put a deposit on a white one for Mrs bigtree.

Don't like any of the KTM range ,too angular, just not to my taste at all, however much fun they are to ride, I could not own a bike I did not like the look of.

3 grand, there's a massive amount of summer fun to be had there. Surprised at Yorick, this is surely the perfect tool for a piddling little island.

By then the 790 will have been on the road for a year or so and any problems with it will be known by then. I love the 690,it is such a laugh in the twistys and a great bike to take with us in the motorhome due to it's light weight and upright riding position for sightseeing.

Sure is. My 47 bhp did 7 countries last year. I fancied the KTM for pure fun factor but rejected it as just a bit small for long journeys.

47 bhp ( which hits an indicated 100 with little effort and return 70+ mpg ) is already lined up for Ireland and Spain next year.

The thing about small bikes is they are effortless and so user friendly, those with big bikes never get to use the power, just too much law enforcement now.

I pick it up on the 23rd of December. Ordered heated grips and hand guards to be fitted too.
Normal price is £4600. I got mine ( on the road, brand new ) for an amazing Black Friday deal of £3099!!
It fits perfectly in the back of my 821 Elegance.
Job done. My GS isn't going to be very happy when it finds out I've gone behind its back!

Been looking for a modern bike next year after selling off most of my classic bikes.
Fancy the new Z900, looking at some of the other new bikes for sale and they are over 200 hp I think the new Ducati is 211 hp!!

Cannot see how it is worth having that sort of power on a road bike, fair enough if you do track days..

Same deal as we got,Drysdales say they are couriering several vanloads of them all over the country even to areas where there are KTM dealers with the same offer.

An old boy once said to me there is no such thing as a bad bike just some are better than others. I did a track day once run by James Whitham he said everyone on this track day on a 1000cc bike is kidding themselves. Was the same track day I lapped my mate every session while he was on his Ducati road shagger I made him look silly and was on a 600 Hornet. TBH I am not a big ktm fan but that bike is great value if it was little lighter I would have that for back of van rather than an over priced scooter.

I think the new Ducati is 211 hp!!

And a price to match but it is the biking equivalent of a £250,000 supercar.

My last "fast" bike was a VFR750 which indicated 140 mph without any drama or fuss but all I could see at that speed was porridge.

At least with only 47 bhp I'd need a hill on a dual carriageway to get a ban.
