Good deal on KTM Duke 390's just now.

I think you misunderstood me.

She may not be playing ball, but the net result is that you now have two bikes. What’s not to like!

When I started to build my new garage, I planned it about 6m x 3m. SWMBO said "No, make it much bigger. You never know". So it's 8.5m x 4.5m. Room for 6 bikes :)

There’s five in mine! Still sub-optimal though as we all know that the correct number of bikes to have is N+1, where N = the current number in your possession!

I'll have my GSXR1000 and Beta Xtrainer. The builder's GSXR1000. Buying the missus a dirt 125 to learn on, then buy her a 200 Beta or summat. I'm getting a trials bike as well.

What else do I need ?

A bigger garage?

Picked up Lil's bike from Drysdales this afternoon after we left @DavidG58 s Birthday bash. That's her xmas present sorted. :xThumb:

Fantastic! :xThumb: She'll love it! A white one eh....
I pick up my orange one Saturday! I had heated grips and hand guards as extras on mine. Oh, and a tail tidy. Don't like cold pinkies!

And there is a bonus,it was specced with the Phone/Audio extra at the factory so got that FOC. :xgrin:

Having met Lil and Trevor for the first time this weekend (y)(y) firstly I would never put her on a bike at all, but if I did it wouldn't be one of them

Go Lil (y)(y)

Would barely drag the skin off rice pudding.

I think the phrase you require is ' wont pull a greasy stick out of a dogs arse ' .

Nice lightweight bike, bit of fun for not a lot of money.

One of these.. Husky 450FS.. be right on those tight roads. This landed today , made 64 bhp on the dyno.

It is compared to my GS! Or the KTM 690 which I was going to get. I did contemplate the 1290 at one stage but gave myself a slap! :D

I had a 690 at home for a few weeks , last year, it was a big lump to push round. I wouldnt fancy anything bigger.

Mine came Sunday morning, very smart bike, be careful you don't thrash it, keep an eye on the rev counter. The engine doesn't sound like it's revving but I was horrified to look down and see 8000 rpm  on a bike with 8 miles on the clock lol.
I only had a 4 mile test ride as it started raining and I've put it away now. I think it will be great once I get used to it but it's very different to my last bike (ZX6R) it's a compromise of weight for power. Either way much, much better than the Honda Vision, which I've grown to hate :cautious:

You must have a bigger door opening on your garage than me then. I measured a lot of bikes before setting on the 390. It'll do the job for me. Not worried about speed anymore. Been there, done that.

Its the internal height that is the limit , not the door, I can get things through the door that wont fit once its in .

I'm pretty sure the door opening is 44" on mine. Internally it's 48". I'm putting one of those front wheel stay / chock jobbies in so I have to make sure there's an extra inch or two for the wheel to rise up and down a bit. Should be ok if I measured it correctly. :xgrin:

How are you going to get it down the chimney?

But, putting on my Sherlock Holmes hat, I see the first two have EU in the reg number and the EU flag - but the new one doesn't have either.

(See, any thread can be turned into a B***** thread. :))

Its a lot easier to put the bike in backwards, i have a wheel stay but dont use it, only go it forwards when im carrying 2, otherwise it goes in up against the front wall, with one strap, which makes a it a peice of cake.

EU is an Essex reg and we got the eu plate for going abroad, the dealer just supplies a standard plate. Doubt if we will get an EU plate since we are Br*****ng.:xrofl:

Well, a little word of warning for all 2017 390 owners! I ordered a set of £99 oxford heated grips to be fitted to my bike ( sold by KTM ) ready for my collection Saturday, well they don't fit!! :xeek:

Apparently the throttle assembly on the 2017 bike has a "ribbed" effect and the oxford grips won't fit. They have fitted the KTM ones instead. I was told that they couldn't be fitted when I ordered my bike but somehow they have? Hey ho.
Anyhow, any new owners, don't go buying oxford grips cos I've been told they can't be fitted.

Won't be worrying about that ,we only use the bike when it is warm. :D

Same here!

Got mine today! Well pleased. Great service from AMS KTM in Tewksbury. :xThumb:
Fitted my crash bungs and small number plate this afternoon. KTM already fitted the tail tidy for me. Hand guards and heated grips on also. Marvellous.
