Gareth & Phil have fun in Spain 2025.

Have a safe crossing guys and thanks for posting as we’ve really enjoyed following you, Santander pleasantly surprised us when we visited in December. It’s a lovely city but not somewhere I’d have thought of visiting, we’d certainly visit again.

Thanks Guys for giving us all a sense that we were with you on this trip, great pictures of places you visited and the high end restaurants with their offerings, which was like a visual quiz with us trying to work out what the ingredients were in each course, which we then begged to differ on all too often.:giggle:

Sad to read about your lengthy snagging list, also that the spares have not arrived yet at Premier MH's, however I guess they wont know what is needed in some instances until they get the van in the workshop.

One question that I bugging me is....if it were not for the Santander Ferry being booked, and with sufficient time on your hands, was it ever an option to take it straight to Morello in Germany under warranty to have everything fixed?
I think a few Funsters have done that in the past as it was an easier/faster option for them, some even had upgrades to their original specification carried out.

Safe journey home guys.
Les & TinaL
Thank you

Well that was quick, one of the first on, mixed blessings though as that means we will be last off.
Oh well we are consoling ourselves with a drink in the bar, I wonder what time the restaurant opens 🤔 😆😆😆
We sail at 1pm and its currently 11.50am in Spain.

I hope all get sorted on the van to your liking & ready for your next expedition. As everyone has already said it’s been a pleasure to have followed your thread with some amazing food dishes to drool over & also some great architectural pics too.

Thank you boys, for giving us insight into your travels. Hope the toast racks kept your e-bikes stored safely.

Look forward to your next jaunt with a fault free bus.

Safe onward journey.
Thank you, yes they did 😀

Thank you both so much for such a wonderful thread,
really was most enjoyable.
Safe journey home and look forward to the next adventure.

Enjoy your trip back. We're currently celebrating your thread by eating Iberico ham crisps dipped in truffled soft cheese. Washed down with rather large Aperols. Watching the waves on the med.

Thanks for a brilliant thread guys.

As others have said, we’ll be using this thread as an aide de memoirs when we’re next in Spain.

May your crossing be calm, your onward UK travel be safe, and your snagging successful!

Mr porky. As with others, thanks Phil & Gareth for and enjoyable blog. (y) Safe journey back to Blighty. (y)

Despite your Morelo not being our MH, I'd be "chomping at the bit" with Premium re all the snags, etc. :(

Strangely enough, Rita and I were discussing the same earlier today whilst travelling up through France, thinking it would definitely be the preferred option for us. 🤷‍♂️

Cheers,

Jock. :)

What an amazing trip you boys have had. Thanks for sharing it with us, we’ve enjoyed seeing how passionate you are in all that you do. Our trip starts in 3 weeks from Plymouth to Santander, no return ticket this time, left, right or straight down, who knows !!! Can’t wait !!! Safe journey home and good luck with the snagging 🤞:h:

It's the best time to leave Spain as its chucking it down 😃.
We are parked up at the port after a full service at the aire and we have filled up with diesel.
All ready to drive from Portsmouth to Bawtry, Doncaster on Monday for our snag fix.
Although we have been informed no parts have arrived from Germany.

That’s not so good, you would have thought they had ample time to get that sorted🥲

But that would be logical, unfortunately it seems none of the motorhome dealers are. It's the same here, still waiting on a shock absorber for the habitation door 6 months later........

Love that last photo of you both in Santander  .

Thanks for taking the time to post your travels, I've got so many notes of places to see! Just amazing what you've done:smiley:.

Safe travels & hope your snags get sorted quickly!

Bit wrong to blame the dealers when they are subject to the manufacturer’s and the manufacturer’s are subject to their suppliers. If the dealers can prove that they have ordered the parts in a timely manner then it’s all on the manufacturer’s in my opinion

Yes, also, but let's be honest here, they sold you the van and got the profit, a little bit of customer care would not go amiss. I'm talking about my experience with my dealer, but it does seem I'm not the only one, and in all honesty, they leave a lot to be desired. I do not have the same problem with my Jaguar dealer, who have always been excellent. The parts for the Jag come from the UK, for the MH Italy, more or less the same distance to here. So my conclusion is that the whole MH industry is a complete mess.

I am certainly not saying dealers are perfect, I’m just stating you can’t give the dealers a knock on customer care for something that is completely out of their control with no ability to influence it at all but yet their the ones that take all the abuse for it.
