Gareth & Phil have fun in Spain 2025.

Well, after checking most of the campsites and paid aires, everyone is full.
We have arrived in Nerja parking in the centre of town €15 a night but it has lots of bars, restaurants and shopping.
I think our budget just went out the window 🤔🤣🤣
What use is money if we don't spend it 😊

I had night of not cooking.
A lovely curry was in order and it was lovely

Light work lunch in sunny Cheltenham, not quite at your standards but very enjoyable nevertheless , keep up the good work👍

We had a wonderful time last night, we had gone off tasting menus as sometimes you would get so far through and think ok I'm done now.
This was something different, after arriving at 8pm we didn't leave till after 11pm and I was shocked it didn't feel like 3 hours.
If you are in Nerja i would definitely recommend this restaurant, they do al acarte as well which looked so good.
The pairing off the wines to the food was expertly done.

Beef tartar cherry tomatoes, capers, lemon

Scallops beurre blanc, leeks

Ox tail, sweet potato and honey

Corbina (hake), meurnier sauce, parsnip pureé

Venison, chestnut purée, mushrooms, port and mushroom reduction

Trio of cheese

White chocolate and cheese, milk chocolate base and passion fruit top

You two certainly know how to live... good or you.

After spending some time looking at the usual apps for a recommended sleepy spot the best I can come up with is Playa Scaba on the beach below Malaga (been before but may give it a miss) alternatively we may go onto Torremolinos (the €2 guardian parking on the beach).
It's definitely harder to find spots this year but we have good water and waste tanks and the lithium is always back up to 100% at the end of the day.
We will make a decision in the morning.
Nerja has been lovely and the car park in the centre of town was easy access, quiet nights and great food and drink.
Meeting up with friends we met whilst motorhoming a few years back, they are now resident in this area, loving life in bricks and mortor.

Anybody have any other suggestions please shout up.

I think the Torre parking has been closed. Just checked on p4n. Latest post said Police cleared it.

Parque la polama in Benalmodena may be an option.
No services but if we can get in it will suffice.

We stayed at the Malaga Aire in December, pitch was a bit cramped although still enough room to sit outside, if you’re lucky enough to get a beach front pitch I’d pay the extra couple of euros. It’s ideally placed for visiting Malaga and the other towns near by and has a nice beach just a few hundred metres away.

If you do decide to go there, it's best to book online especially as you'll need a large pitch.

A lovely meet up with our friends al and brian over a full English breakfast/brunch.
The sun is shining so of course I had a pint of lager with my breakfast 😋.

Drive up to frigiliana and also don’t forget to go to Competa , they have some superb foodie places there and some great walks, the village square is a good place to spend the evening, we spend a whole month in Competa a few years ago, didn’t want to leave lol, I take it that you have done Ronda on other trips? Very worthwhile , if you go to Malaga have you visited the botanical gardens?

As our friends live in fringiliana they very kindly showed us their home town and competa was lovely.
We have done Rhonda but we may go again 😁
We havn't done malaga before so that's a possibility.

If you feel really adventurous go and check out Acebuchal leave the MH in frigiliana and go on the bike , or if you really want to test your driving skills go for it😎😱, it’s another world out there, looks like being in the Amazonian rainforest, good pub and a nice afternoon out👍

Forgot to show our great bargain of the day, walking back from brunch called into a charity shop and gained these lovely plastic glasses for only €1 each.
We had been looking for just these items in China shops and couldn't find any.
The camping shops had some in but no thank you at €10 each.

I'm in the south of England and I can hear your arteries hardening from here.
A little of naughty now and again is ok, just as long as you don't do this every day.
The day before it was strawberry's, blueberry with yoghurt and granola 😃😃

Malaga is a must, lots of people fly in and forget about it but it is such a gorgeous place👍
I would second that. We had a short Airbnb break there a few years ago. Lots of stuff to see such as the Alcazaba and castle and museums including a Picasso one. Great food, great vibe and beaches if the weather is good enough. We had a cracking lunch at this place.

Somewhere in the world! Is the sun over the Yardarm Snotty? Break out the Gin! ( Battle of the River Plate!) ;)
In our defence your honour this was my next drink, nothing in between.
