Much much tidier than Lenny HB ’sWe thought of buying a bike rack but I think they’ll take up to much room, here’s ours packed for the off yesterday. We use ratchet straps through some metal eyes, don’t use bungee as your bikes will bounce about.View attachment 489570View attachment 489571
Flipping cheek that's tidy, you want to see it after we have been away for a few weeks, couldn't even see the essential's in that garage, no washing machine, spare cassette, snow chains, ladder, Paddleboard etc.
We have swapped it for a rear mounted rack because OH has bought a very big dutch bike which needs totally dismantled to fit in garageAll you need now is a Motorhome!
This option is perfect if your biles are electric as they are heavyThat looks brilliant but far too expensive!. Good idea though.
Will let Alan know. Might be useful if you bring them along to FakirkI wanted an inside rack but didn't want to drill the floors/walls on my Apache 632
It's not the largest of garages and is compromised by the heater position, also only has decent access from 1 side.
I fitted a piece of ply (with unnecessary material removed to reduce weight) to the floor using the existing tie-down anchor bolts and then fitted a standard Fiamma rack to the ply using "T" nuts set into the underside of the ply.
Then just filled in the gaps using lightweight foam mats cut to shape.
I can get two 29er mountain bikes in quite comfortably.

Where do you get those from Lenny? Are they universal fit?One thing I did that makes putting the bikes in the garage a lot easier, I fitted detachable peddles to bikes
Standard fitting ours are MKS there are other make available now I think there were about £40 a pair.Where do you get those from Lenny? Are they universal fit?
Having looked through the thread and had to make a decision, we fitted the main part today drilling through the wall to the bedroom (4 small holes) and attached bike and that is one solid piece of kit. We bought it off amazon for £20 and the Thule extension, still to arrive, was about £30.I use one of these screwed to inside wall of garage and which holds the seat post of one bike and then use one of these to hold second bike to first bike and that’s all I use, no straps or anything never moves at all.
