Do you have a special garage bike rack to use?

Can you show me some photos of how you all secure your bikes when in your rear garage of van? All ideas will be useful. Thanks

irnbru. Did you manage to sort out your garage bike storage Sandra.

I know we are 9 x months down the line, however, this is our setup.

The frame was built by Martin, to facilitate easy access from the rear door, to chairs and a small table.

Once positioned correctly, I use the orange ratchet strap just to keep the bikes in place, until I install the cargo load bars, which then are tensioned in place. They are brilliant, preventing any forward movement (especially when braking), with no movement of the bikes to date.
This arrangement allows storage boxes on the right, with easy access to them all, without having to move the bikes. (y)

Adjust to the height/width you want, lock in position, then rotate to take up equal tension top and bottom. (y)

Jock. :)

Hi JockandRita , can you tell me where these uprights can be purchased please ?
Hi Lusky. :)

I got ours off Ebay. You just need to check that the area you need to secure, comes within the parameters of the extendable bar.

Our rack doesn't have the large vertical frame, it has the base which I only used silicone to glue it down ( 2 years ago ) then the too rail which has small screws and silicone. Works atreat, although bout garage door is only just big enough to get the bikes through so it is a bit of a pain.

I used to transport my mountain bike on the car roof. No longer use the roof mounted cycle rack so adapted it for use in the MH garage.

Very easy to use. The movable/rotating U-shaped attachment clamps to the "down tube" (between head tube and bottom bracket).

Just clamp onto the down tube and tie one wheel to the wheel track - job done. Can be stored in a very narrow width especially if you use collapsible pedals. The handlebars are the widest part...but being high up - not usually a problem. See pic:
