France/Spain 2021 some pictures and information.

So, filled up as down to 1/4 tank and expecting to pay around 1.34. This seems to be a common price so far and was happy to pull into a Repsol garage just off the motorway to find Desiel at 1.29. Far cheaper than France which is cheaper than the UK unless you choose to fill up on toll roads or motorways. I do wish I could hold my drink ! These days I have to limit myself as my capacity is no where near where it was. I used to be able to hold my drink and behave like captain sensible. Now, five beers and I start dribbling and usually shit myself on the ninth. Age is a pain in the ass.
Think of the money your saving on drink 😂 BUSBY.

Keep an eye out as many towns/areas have now introduced new nightime curfews up that way.
Thanks Gus, I got a wiff of this on some newspapers but no detail other than concern about the increase in the Delta variant. We tend to get to our stopover by mid afternoon latest and if we do visit towns its usually early evening. We're heading right over to the far coast and more or less exploring the coves and bays etc. The car park here has filled up. Many locals have come to swim in the river or picnic in the area next to the bar. Another 3 campers have turned up too but I have prime spot. Still 🔥 but starting to ease off a bit.

At last! We have now arrived to possibly our favourite free stopover in Spain. Only one other motorhome on this spot so expect to get kicked off tonight by the Plod. They have never done so in the past so I'm hopefully. This is a spectacular place to visit and I will post numerous pictures over the coming days so you can understand why we love it so.

I know that one , love it there but it seems to have disappeared off p4n. There is another place mentioned towards the campsite but it’s street parking.

There are another 4 options here, some rammed but those who dare win. Another picture from the side of the town looking onto the beach area. Our motorhome on the hill in centre of picture. One more beer then were going for a paddle.

Great pics and you cant beat a beer in the sun.🍻

We are planning to, setting off 1st August France then into Germany hoping to do the Alpenstrasse
We did that couple of years ago from lake constance to Garmisch. We are planning a similar route taking in lake Titisee neustadt, uberlingen and Fussen. We are Eurotunnel on 31st July.

Are you heading down to Portugal Phil?
If so I can recommend a lovely stopover at a little family run restaurant in beautiful surroundings.

X Lenny, I always appreciate your recommendations but this trip is short and we have to miss out many treasured stopovers and have no plans to cross the Portuguese Border. A picture of where we are parked no chance of getting on or off.

Plod knocked on door at midnight and said you can't park here. I said OK I've had a drink and will move in the morning . They said that's fine and wished me good night. I can see other Motorhome parking spots from here so it's no big deal. This was however, a real bit of treasure to park up for a few days. Times change I guess.
