OK! Some info I've collected when chatting to the shell collectors this morning. This is their livelihood. When the season ends they become unemployed. Guy I spoke with at the weighing station had been out there collecting shells for 4 hours and collected around 8 Kilos. He will get paid between 10 - 12 euros per kilo. I said that's bloody good money and then we both laughed
They all stink to high heaven too but it pays the bills.

Correct..that's where we did our summer of 2020....however it's a vast area and some big weather differences.... Galicia was 23° Cantabria 34°
5 hours from here in Murcia will knock 15° off the daytime temperature if the location is chosen correctly...
Valencia it's been top 30s every day going up to 41 on a few days.
Make the most of the short time you have as you've been vaxxed. Stay away from the unvaxxed as we don't want your spike proteins which WILL kill you. As designed to

I love reading these type of threads so please keep it up Phil

hoping to get across Sept 5th and can’t wait to start to chill out a little bit

cheers Al 👍👍

This thread has been really interesting, thanks Phil and Mena plus the others who chipped in. We hope to go to Spain for all of September, Covid willing. I would start a thread for our trip but tbh lack the knowledge/experience of you all. So think I’ll stay a voyeur!

Sounds ominous!
It was all good Mike well I think it was :) it was after about the 3rd bottle of Phil’s expensive (cough) wine 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
Hello to Gwen

I can vouch for that Mike, I made the mistake of mentioning I

Hello to Gwen
I can vouch for that Mike, I made a serious mistake when I mentioned I had a few bottles of a very, very good Rioja, reserva. Needles to say I now have none.

Dave can afford the weight gain unlike some people touring Spain at the moment.
How dare you insult my wife on Fun. Pistols at dawn pal. If the wind is from the east aim to the right if the wind is from the west lean to the left ! Here lies Lenny HB killed with a single shot from a FLT, CBBC Funster.

Showers forcaste for today and its lashing down, just a short intensive blast though with temperatures already in the high teens.
Had a short walk down to the beach. The tide was well out. I also

looked at some of the wild camping spots here. Some are very good but you need to be careful with your access to the track from the road. Bypass the first one and follow the road round and enter at the sign that bans motorhomes from parking beyond the sign.

We waited 2 days to get into the Aire at Fisterra and this morning told only one space available, so decided to drive there and sort out who would stay and who would move on to the Lighthouse. As we drove in a chap saw Busman Dave and immediately upped sticks and left. ( They don't like Spanish scouser's I guess !).
Anyway were both in and not moving for the next 4 days. This is a fernom spot and apparently where the pilgrims end their long journey after visiting Santiago and burn their clothes. Might explain the smell ! Off to port and market, pictures later.
