Flt strikes again!

I'm on an a forum for fellow supporters of my football team. They have some right barneys on there sometimes. The last set too that got carried away ended with a planned punch up outside the Pittodrie bar in Aberdeen before kick off one Saturday. One guy was told to keep an eye out for the other guy who would be wearing a Moncler jacket.

Never happened of course.

Thats just a step too far in my book. Argue the point etc yes but thats all it should be. No fighting , no a*s licking, at the end of the day they are forums. We should all be entitled to say our opinions and move on. Disagree in one thread and agree in another is the way it should be. Fisty cuffs are so yesterday.

To be fare to the offender I would have liked to have seen photos of the hole carpark i am sure that the offending motor homer has not taken up the last few spots on the carpark.
I find it difficult to understand the mindset of folks who post minor indiscretions on forums I do think they might just be having a dull day.
As for the FLT part he has parked up to buy shopping and parked in the corner probably well away from the store so he is spending money in the town obviously paied his pitch on the camp site .
Dose not seem to be dropping any grey water dos not seem to have used the bins or left any black bags as I am Shure it would have ben reported on hear.
I am sure that many on her have over stayed on a camp site before I am Shure at this time of year there would not have ben a big tale back to get on to the pitch.
let he who is without sine cast the first stone

Can’t see it (fisticuffs) happening with members of this forum, really. “Oi! You me chemical disposal point, NOW!”

I was joking. 5 minutes after I posted it I realised I wasn't actually making any points. Just a digital version of my Saturday night drunken ramblings.

Your in good company then. Lets raise a glass for MHF entertainment . (y)

Sometimes we are own worst enemies

Reporting antisocial behaviour by fellow motorhomers is not helpful, especially in an inflammatory way - when there is no real evidence

To assume the driver in his case had no good reason for parking as he did with just a single photo is unfair. If he stayed too long that is for Aldi to sort out - not us

@GJH through his own website asked Aldi if there was a problem parking motorhomes and was told 'no' and said parking in more than one bay by in a large vehicle was acceptable - with conditions

..................Christmas is coming and the turkeys are voting for it;)

...........Stop it!

Did anyone ask him?..............no

Did anyone ask him?..............no

That's what I would do, and also what others have done to me.

I remember parking in a CoOp car park across 2 bays and a guy wandered over and asked why?

I said that because the bays were narrow, if I parked in one then no one could park in the bays either side, so I'd take up 3 bays. He had a look then agreed. Easy life. No drama.

Not quite the same as OP though.

But still nobody asked him/her - according to the OP nobody at Aldi asked him either

Ill ?, dead?..........or a FLT

I would have thought the supermarket would contact the police if it’s still there. They would know where it should be and who owns it etc. (y)

I'm not expert on law but would the police not say it's not a criminal offence to park on private land, sort it out yourselves as it's a civil matter.

I thought I had finished with this thread but as I (and Aldi) have been misquoted I'll respond to that post.
Reporting antisocial behaviour by fellow motorhomers is not helpful
This reminds me of a minor dispute at work a few years ago which resulted from late settlement of out-of-hours call-out fees to software maintenance staff.
In a meeting the union rep was all for making an official complaint to management - until reminded that the problem was caused by computer operators not completing and submitting the forms filled in by those called out, something which management had instructed them to do promptly on several occasions.
The immediate response of the union rep was to move on to another subject. She completely failed to recognise that she had a responsibility to support one set of members (those called out) despite the fact that the problem was caused by another (the operators).

Antisocial behaviour is antisocial behaviour no matter who commits it. As has been shown time after time, such parking by motorhome owners leads to restrictions on all motorhome parking. The behaviour of those who park in such ways adversely affects those who do not. Highlighting such behaviour is not turkeys voting for Christmas, it is the responsible thing to do.

Aldi security tried several times on the day he arrived but got no answer. As far as the staff are aware he never went into the shop at all, nobody even saw him leave the motorhome. He stayed for three nights and left yesterday morning.

My original point was, and still is, that parking like this paints all motorhomers with the same brush in the eyes of the general, non motorhome owning public and it's not a flattering colour. The flt in question was even a subject of discussion in my local pub on Friday evening and none of the comments i heard were complimentary about this individual and I did hear at least one person say it was "typically selfish for a camper to park like that".

D.

Why is it the responsible thing to do? It’s a forum at the end of the day.

Just a small observation then I’m done here, the driver in question could have parked in a corner in proportion to the parking bays layout- even taking four bays lengthwise, instead of driving in and just stopping anywhere. The fact he parked across the parking bays shows he cares not (y)

The "outlet" does not matter. Highlighting irresponsibility is always responsible.

Sorry , I disagree. It’s more like just running telling teacher. As it turns out Yes I’d agree the guy was taking the P**S by staying 3 nights but let’s remember the thread was started 4 days ago and at that point the guy could’ve been perfectly innocent just doing his shopping or indeed had asked Aldi if he could stay.

NO ONE knew the guys business at that time.
Lots of goody two shoes on here, and I bet only when it’s suitable.

The guys hardly commuted a murder yet probably unbeknowing to him he’s been the topic of conversation over these last 4 days.

It has been very entertaining though(y)

Let's examine that then.

In this particular case the OP made it clear that the person concerned had already abused the caravan site where he was staying, which indicates that "perfectly innocent" is a doubtful assumption.

More generally, there have been numerous occasions over the years where height barriers have been put in place because of such irresponsible parking. You will, no doubt, recall the example of Fisherrow, discussed earlier this year.
Time after time, when that happens, people have posted on forums denouncing those who have been the cause through their selfishness. Of course, by that time it is too late because it is far harder to reverse a decision (especially one which has incurred significant expense) rather than prevent one in the first place.
So, if "running telling teacher" (which was usually the complaint/excuse of the guilty in my experience at school) is what is needed to benefit the majority then so be it.

So

"Without being identified or interviewed the male/female concerned is guilty Milud.............guilty of being a FLT" ....

Sentence........... To have to read every thread on grey waste, A frames, Parking in Dover - sorry Parking anywhere....

.............Should add up to a few years

(y)

@GJH at the risk of going round in circles we will just have to agree to disagree.

I see no point in reiterating what my tuppence worth is.
