flightradar24

I do like FR24, although I prefer https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ as it's so easy to toggle on/off all the civilian flights leaving just military.
Have you noticed on Flightradar24 that the speeds shown are sometimes way out, last week a Cirrus’s SR22 was doing 495MPH and I have seen this happen a few times. ADSbexchange is more accurate.

I saw a Cessna 172 doing 444kts wings about to fall off!!

Seeing a lot more aircraft likely to be heading to the COP26. There's a Bolivian air force jet coming in and a Sweedish air force gulfstream making its way there to.

Private gulfstream from Rome looks on course for Glasgow. I wonder who that is from the G20 yesterday.

SAM438 just leaving Italy heading north to pass east of Zurich.
It's a Boeing C-40B, part of the President’s flight usually.
Might have the First Lady on board.

If the weather in Glasgow is anything like it is up here in Aberdeen then it's going to be difficult landings for all these planes.

India 1 arrived from Rome just ahead of this Belgian plane.

Bet that's going to be a twitchy flyer!! Not a Cessna 172!! Lol
It's a great little plane .. we met her briefly a few weeks back at Popham airfield where she did her training and was giving joy rides to some of her old school friends in a similar airplane.
BROKEN LINK

Some of you may have heard of the record attempt to be the youngest girl to fly around the globe in a Shark ultralight by 19 year old Zara.

Well she has just taken off from Nome (Alaska) to cross the Bearing straits to Russia as per this link ...

I can remember watching Flying Wild Alaska when one of the small aircraft pilots was flying medical supplies from Alaska to the island Diomede in the middle of the Bering Sea and was terrified flying into Russian airspace accidentally which starts very close to the island because there's a Russian military base nearby. He said that the Russians wouldn't hesitate sending up fighters to see to him. :Eeek:

He would be flying over my old house then. Really can't see him flying Easyjet though! :giggler:

No Ruskie fighters up so far .. she is a bit south of the island.

Looks like the BA shuttle is flying in a hold pattern to let Boris' aircraft land first

Something big flew low over the campsite at 5.36 this morning and woke me up. Grabbed my phone but nothing was showing on FR24 so I guess it was from Brize just down the road.

So annoying not to know! 🤣

Security saturation above COP26
Alleycat3, an RAF Puma circling at 1950ft.
Scottish Police Eurocopter 700ft above
UK Police fixed wing 1300 ft above that.

Think they might have things covered.

I was watching that Clarky I was watching Allycat and the police aircraft follow the mate west so I'm guessing that would have been Bidens motorcade going straight from Edinburgh Airport through to Glasgow?

Looks like Allycat and the Police aircraft following something along the M 8 towards Edinburgh doing a knitting pattern that my Mrs would be proud of :whistle2:

Looks like they were sweeping the area before the departure of SAM438 from Edinburgh. President Biden heading to Belfast?
