An Airbus A400M has just done a low pass over us on a circuit before heading off.

Last night around 12.30am we had two large turbo props scream extremely low at speed over our house, my wife almost had a heart attack and every dog in the street was barking. Wish I knew why they'd fly so low at that time. 😠 There was less than 10 seconds between them.

Likely to be Tucano's, the RAF's basic trainer.
We regularly get them flying low over us.

Sounded a lot bigger than that, I live near the end of the runway of Mid Wales airport and I'm used to hearing aircraft of that size and have the Air Ambulance going over at all hours. What ever it was hadn't taken off from there, they flew at 90 degrees to the runway.

Quite interesting to see the Poseidons out of RAF Lossiemouth featured on last nights Top Gun show, even though they only gave a tiny taster of what the aircraft is capable of. Or more specifically what the electronics inside the aircraft are capable of.

Recognised a few of the call signs from watching them on FR24.

Possibly a GPS/transponder error, think it might now be showing somewhere over Russia a couple hundred miles east

Must have been just looked again and as you say it's on a different flight route now.

This video was recorded using something called 3D binaural audio, to benefit from the fantastic sound quality you must wear headphones, but do not have them set too loud. :whistle2:

Opened up the blinds to a US Stratolifter touch and go'ing at RAF Lossiemouth. A poseidon just took off and a few Typhoons going about too.

Crap photo...

He's coming back so I'll try for another.

Looks like a Rivet Joint, can tell by the odd porpoise type nose and funny antenna bulges on the sides.

Wonder what that's been sniffing, I did see something in the news about a Russia naval exercise in the Baltic & North Sea.

Thought it was a rivet joint but FR names it a Stratolifter. Still doing rings right now. Got a good video of it from the beach but too big to upload.

Perhaps Hercules? We are on a low flying route for them but it’s more a whoosh than a roar as they are relatively quiet for their size!

Tucson retired! Seems only yesterday the Chipmunks were retired that I used to fly in in the ATC! 😂😂😂
