Have a factory visit in Germany booked for June so hopefully will be able to make that as will go on down to Italy and Switzerland for 3 weeks
If not it’s Cornwall or heading up North

Will be expensive as I will be taking the 2 pups with us but it is what it is I’m not going to keep whining on about it.

Just hope that I don’t need the Covid test there and back

No, this will be there first time abroad, they are due at the vets next week for a teeth clean and nail cut so will ask the vet about it then.
I have a very good vet and hopefully she will be sensible about the cost..

The thing I begrudge paying is the tunnel cost for dogs
May look at an EU passport for them as we will hopefully have a fair few more trips over so it works out very expensive if they need to see the vet before every trip!

Think tunnel now is £20 per dog per trip so £80, for van and 2 adults is about £120

I don't think that's too bad we pay £150 in total from Poole to Cherbourg it's only 70 miles from home & basically you can book it the day before

I must have already ignored most of those arguing as I can hardly see anything at all.

Switzerland and Norway are part of Shengen, and subject to the same rules.

Well we transferred booking last year Brittany ferries August to early October hope we can go this year but who knows and with dog to Spain have to book early anyway or no places left se fingers crossed again

We will be back on the continent as soon as safe/ we're allowed but not too hopeful for this year. Extra costs and complications are irritating but not something insurmountable.
At present we can't even go anywhere in the UK.
We are booked on a month long cruise to the Caribbean and back in November, it may or not happen, though looks like going ashore may be restricted to organised excursions which I don't like.
