When we were out in the field it was a branch of a tree to rest your thighs on stick your a*se over the trench, and you were lucky if the latrine detail had got rid of the slinters.

We take environmental issues very seriously in Germany. It’s a pity his registration plate wasn’t in the photo as he would certainly have been prosecuted. Germany has an abundance of Stellplätze, so there’s no excuse for this disgusting behaviour. It’s also an offence to discard and form of litter, including cigarette butts. Dogs droppings must also be collected by the owner.

I was wondering about this recently actually.
I was on a trip across Germany, Belgium, France, Czech republic.

I saw thousands of camper vans and MHs. In Berlin it is absolutely ridiculous, feels like 1/5 of the population is living in them.
While I totally condemn tipping out the toilet into the grass etc....what are people supposed to do?
There's very few aires about, I didnt notice any signs on my trip at all outside of France and unless you hunt for them you wouldnt know.
Likewise there were few public toilets so the only option I could think of was going to a campground and asking if possible to dispose there or taking it into a place like a petrol service station or a supermarket and disposing there.

But Im sure that will be met with a lot of objection and frowns also.

It was a council road.. and I knew a man who said his cousins mate reckons he did it with a bit of wet string

On a side note. I'm most camper sostas in Italy the poo goes down the drain with the grey water. I find it a bit weird and it's best not to look down the hole as you empty.
