Ducato Windscreen Scuttle Drain Holes

Hi ASR
I can make some to fit that. Do you just need drainage pipes in the central area where it drops down. Do you have any problems on the sides.
Cheers PaulandChrissy
Hi, the sides don’t have a problem because rain runs down and off the sides ok. The middle bit is the area that fills up. Not a great design by Burstner. I think I’d only need 1 that could go just to the side of the metal bracket. There‘s enough space to get something in the low part without having to drill through the metal then. (y)

Hi ASR
Will be back from France on the 15th July. Will put a little kit together for you as soon as we return.

Excellent thanks. No particular rush though. I’ve had the van 5 years and not got round to doing anything yet! Just too lazy really! :giggle:

Fitted mine a couple of days ago. (y) There’s a low part right in the middle that collects water. Burstner appeared to no be too worried about it but it’s a simple fix with a superb 3D printed kit.(y)

Hi Everyone
I have been working on a solution to overcome the problem of water accumulating around the base of the windscreen on X250 Fiat Ducato’s. I’m preparing a home made 3D printed kit of drainage pipe fittings complete with suitable hosing. All you will need to fit it all are drills and silicone sealant. Final testing should be finished in about a week. If anyone is interested in my solution, please let me know.View attachment 452738
Can you tell me which years the x250 is for thx

Aaah ok! Thx I’m 2018

You really don’t need it on that year. The only place it leaks is from around the heating intake ductwork. You need this.

Hi Paul
I've recently bought first MH Autotrail Tracker
I've noticed the water problem so I've ordered your kit which I'm looking forward to fitting.
There is also a large drain hole around 25mm in the centre section on the drivers side
There is no pipe underneath on mine, I'm assuming there should be?
Do you know what I need there please?

Hi there
you should have a Pipe like this coming from that hole. It’s a Fiat only part. Just give Them a call. I’m sure they will know what you are referring to. What’s the year of your van.

2011 that whole pipe is missing.
Do you think I should go back to the dealer for that?
Thanks

Are these kits still available? If so I’d like a set please.
Hi Stewen.
I still make them. Here’s a link to my blog to help you with which items fit your van. Let me know which you need. If you are unsure, let me know.

Perfect, I’m gen 3 with the split scuttle. Rain pours under the drivers side part - thanks for the detailed info in your blog. I’ll email my order. Btw, scuttle blockage/ keeping them clear is a current topic on the Auto Trail V line owners fb group. Do you mind if I share your link? Or is it for Funsters only? Cheers

Goods received & very promptly & very professionally packaged with full instructions provided.

I’ll report back once the 3 kits have been fitted.

Thank you.

The kits are now installed. The centre modification allowed it to fit perfectly, thanks, although a slightly longer tube would have been better I think.

I found it easier to remove both headlights. Removing the passenger side one (rhd van) made it easier to route the tube to the exit point of the original - a hole in the wheel arch liner.
All in all the kits are very well engineered.

Excellent. Glad you like them. Removing the headlights does make the whole job easier, and they aren’t difficult to remove.
