After over 6 weeks , of the Mobile Engineer, changing the porceilan bowl, the rims, the seals etc, he is scratching his head, as to WHY now the leak has decided to come out of the lever, and and the Rim, which was the original maintenance job.

He spent another 3 hours with me last week, and still doesn't know, so he has asked me to leave the lever out, when doing your business, and putting it back on driving it!
He said, he will talk to Dometic again, who as you know no longer makes these expensive loos, to see what could be the problem and where is the water coming from, it is clean flush water, so it is coming from the new rim seal, not urine water I might add pheww
Thank you , you very learn ed guys out there !

Hi t
sweet caroline

i qualified as a plumber in the lste 70's but still know a thing or two, i am close enough to colchester to offer an additional set of hands if needed (and with notice)
Hi there !

You guys on here, and your learn ed approach to our beloved M/H's always astounds me , and I feel blessed to have found this site/
At present it is still in storage after the Mobile Engineer, used a zoom call from the Dometic Engineer officer, and the whole thing was pulled apart and more sealant glue and another new seal, put it back together taking 2 hours, it was apparently done ! However, they did try it out, but wanted at least 36 hours of leaving the loo to settle before trying it all out again. So at present, I am not using it until next week for a days drive out, so will let you know then ,
But your kind offer of another pair of hands, it sincerely appreciated
kind regards caroline

Perhaps it's become more mills and boon then Haynes manual
She rin off with the engineer :h:
NO Running off with engineer, he just told me to leave the loo standing for 36 hours, until the sealant dries out, so its it in storage at present, so will take it out sometime this week, to see if there are no further leaks.
Sorry, about the delay guys ! Xmas is coming an lots of entertaining and wrapping off presents, sees me off air for a while ! haha

But WHEN ?????
I hope in the thread you will see, that it has apparently been sorted, with a zoom call to dometic engineering office, to sort this out. i still do not know why I had to have a new bowl, when it looked like theseal and rim was not aligned properly. But who am I to argue Iam just a mere Woman ! hahah

Thanks for the offer, but i am hoping with the threads that it has been sorted , but I have to wait 36 hours apparently for the seal and realignment to be left in place. So I will take Renee out at the end of the next week to try it out

But really appreciate your help and assistance on this Dave, so very kind of you Caroline

We will all be waiting with baited breath the outcome of your trial run.
(Plus we would all like to know what did he use sealant on ?)
Hi there Jimbo,
Well, i wasn't exactly there!, as I opened the door, I had put the heating on for him and his son, mince pies and cuppas on the ready for them, and left them too it Jim.
He then tapped on my front door, to say, the loo had been taken apart via a zoon call, sealant had been put around the New SEAL and realigned the loo and cassette basically that was it, well apart from telling me NOT to use it for 36 hours, until it ALL was safe to do so ! So I plan to go out in in for the day to norfolk at the end of the week, as it is still in storage, so will let you know the next episode, as people on this site, are saying ! hahaha. X fingers this has been sorted, I will say, there has been NO Charge, for all of this, as the engineer knows that this new leak, had nothing to do with the previous flush leak, as that one was sorted. Still do not understand why I had to have a new expensive bowl though ? mmmmm Thanks for your concerns though honey

If ever the expression ‘a picture says a thousand words’ , this thread could so do with a photo or 2 🤔 sweet caroline you can do it if you try 😁👍
thank you, but not sure what photo to take now, as the loo has been put back together again David

ok, but it is simple, the 2nd leak was coming from when you pulled the lever, and the lever was wet and dripped water everywhere in the ensuite.

As I said a picture says so much more than text, all the while your problem is unresolved, the more information you put out there the bigger chance of sorting it 👍

Hi David I think you may be wanting to understand what the problem was This is my loo cassette and the lever being spoke about is the silver piece so I suspect the water is coming through there into the bathroom I will post next a picture of the underside of loo

The last picture the circular round but is the bottom of the ceramic bowl which I am guessing wasn’t located lower enough first time round
I have never seen one removed but I thought they would twist 1/4 turn onto a seal any that’s just speculation at the moment
The rubber seal of the cassette seals again this ring

I think you may have missed some earlier posts? It is not pee water, it is fresh water when the flush is pushed and it is coming from the handle that operates the slider not necessarily the slider itself. Any water leaking around the cassette seal would not move up the handle and out it would fall into the botton underneath the cassette. I have to admit is was a bit confusing at first.

I suspect it was a leak at the top of the liner allowing water to run down the outside of the liner between the outer case and the liner that caused it?

Just my guesses. I haven't seen this particular cassette toilet.
