After over 6 weeks , of the Mobile Engineer, changing the porceilan bowl, the rims, the seals etc, he is scratching his head, as to WHY now the leak has decided to come out of the lever, and and the Rim, which was the original maintenance job.

He spent another 3 hours with me last week, and still doesn't know, so he has asked me to leave the lever out, when doing your business, and putting it back on driving it!
He said, he will talk to Dometic again, who as you know no longer makes these expensive loos, to see what could be the problem and where is the water coming from, it is clean flush water, so it is coming from the new rim seal, not urine water I might add pheww
Thank you , you very learn ed guys out there !

the trouble is i am in the hands of a professional engineer, it is not my place to ask WHY? when all I want is for the toilet to be fixed, and stop flipping dripping form the lever
If your paying them you have every right to ask
Is he charging by the hour seems he's found a cashpoint

him and his son seem really nice, and apart from the initial installation of the new porcelain loo and seals ec, he has NOT CHARGED me to come back and forth, as he cant find the fault

Just my 2p worth but there are some steps you can try.

Remove the holding tank completely
Find any bowl or folding bucket that can fit in where the holding tank goes
Use the flush in quick spurts, see if any water goes down the outside of the ceramic liner and the outer case of the toilet. If there is then the leak is either in the feed to the flush fitting or the fitting itself, could be a poor fit as they are tight to work on. If no leaks then it points to the top seal on the holding tank.
When you fit this back to the toilet does it go in and you hear/feel a clunk when it is fully in?
Clean out any bits of grit leaves etc from the inner base and rub over the holding tank. The clunk is needed or the seal doesn’t sit properly and leads to the kind of leak.

Sorry if I’m being a bit thick, when you say lever do you mean the one that opens and closes the cassette to empty the bowl? If so this shouldn’t cause anything to leak unless it’s squashing against a pipe, as all the lever should do is open and shut the blade to the cassette, does it actually stop leaking when open or does the water just enter the cassette so you don’t see the leak, this would make sense meaning it’s actually leaking all the time.

I would be very surprised if they cant come up with a fix
Where the cassette slides in on the floor it rests on, there could be some fillets missing so the cassette is slightly lower than it should be
or it could be the seal on the cassette itself
Somethings not linning up correctly

Not an engineer but have spent a lifetime solving things 40yrs with our own campervans mostly building selfbuilds, job till recently has been a carpenter for 45yrs. And finally able to have built our own bungalow

Obviously not having seen it but it’s likely to be the cassette seal rubber gone hard or if it’s never been lubricated worn enough not to make a seal
If it is a cassette problem I would be ashamed to be the man who changed the ceramic bowl
A fellow funster now a friend had a leaky thetford toilet could never find the leak
It went to a caravan centre they could find it
So I put on my inspector cluesaue hat
It was the cassette
Got a new one instead of a seal £100
