Stayed there last January for a couple of days. Much nicer than the large parking area a few hundred yards up the coast.
Woke up one morning to see a few surfers…….brave souls !
If you need water and waste dump. It’s free.
Only a couple of km from where you are.

I have a mini-tool set in my handbag (ex posh Christmas cracker) and many a chap has been grateful for a loan. Also a small tape measure and tiny torch plus personal alarm fastened so if bag is snatched the alarm goes off.

I also carry spare specs, meds for us both, medical emergency supplies and multi-language assistance cards.

When the kids were small(er) I also had a complete change of clothes for each of them. If you ever meet my kids you will wonder why I didn't carry two complete changes for each!!!

Wait until you need any of aforesaid tools. Try fixing your specs without one of those tiny screwdrivers when you are out on a walk....... Who would have such a thing in her handbag?????

When I trained as an Outdoor Pursuits Instructor back in the seventies, we advised all novices to carry the Seven essentials before venturing into the hills...I imagine today those essentials have been modified to adapt to modern life...
