The PCB with the sockets is normally held on to the main PCB with just a blob of sloler each side. I've repaired a few stregthing the joint with a bit of tinned copper wire they a do of Epoxy.

That's why I only buy the aluminium body ones now.

Possibly but I think he just wanted blu , i had to hold on to her collar as she was ready for jumping out the window.

You don't need a generator specialist, a lawnmower mechanic would suffice, but I reckon the carb main jet will be gummed up by the sound of things ? I think you'd be well capable of giving the genny's carb a quick strip down yourself Tam, get yourself a can of carb cleaner and and a tooth brush just follow this guy's lead !
If you can buy carb cleaner, give the air intake a quick spray with it first and see if it will fire up on that, if it does, it'll be blocked jets.

Ah, got you. Yeah, some of those sets have a fuel pump that's initiated by crankcase pressure and they're renowned for the diaphragm going hard and stopping pumping. Best of luck with it all the same.

The carb was all cleaned and it then ran fine.. changed plug , filter etc and fitted new sound deadening, refitted it and it wouldn't run.

But it isn't sucking the fuel In so like I said I expect the pump is knackered. But it needs completely removed again to sort that and it's not a one man job.

Had I thought about it earlier I'd have had someone do it when I was in Tafraoute.. I could have had it done in Agadir but didn't want to stay there long enough to have that as ideally I wanted pelmets round the cab and all the curtains in the van done to match.

I think it would take a good few days for them to be done .

Buy who knows maybe I'll get them done sometime later .

My ‘go to’ tailor in Shanghai would have a suit made overnight with fabric I’d chosen, ready for final adjustment fitting, final tweaks completed again overnight, so two days in total… great service! Sadly the suits have shrunk as I’ve got older!

My ‘go to’ tailor in Shanghai would have a suit made overnight with fabric I’d chosen, ready for final adjustment fitting, final tweaks completed again overnight, so two days in total… great service! Sadly the suits have shrunk as I’ve got older!

Yeah maybe ... who knows I might ask in tetouan if I see one of the places that does upholstery etc. I can always give them all the original curtains to copy ... but the pelmets I wanted for around the cab would have to be custom made .

I removed mine easily enough with the use of a trolley jack underneath the base, once you have disconnected the fuel pipe and associated electrical connections just jack it up slightly to take the weight off the outer case rails and slide it out. Even better if you have a small piece of wood to spread the weight more

Yeah I had it out before ... I don't have a trolley jack though I've only bottle Jack's and won't be as easy with them.

If I can't find someone in Spain to have a look I'll get it looked at when I'm back in the UK as I'm sure it's something simple

I swear the Moroccans have not a clue what the words peace and tranquil means .

This morning I visited chefchaoun...more on that later and photos .. but after the chaos and harassment of there i wanted somewhere quiet just to have lunch and unwind ..

I'm in a spot I thought I'd get peace and so far I've had 3 different guys who come past , walk around the van muttering , then calling monsueir monsueir, they don't take the hint so you've got to open the door to talk to them ....I know before opening they want to try selling me hash as its rife around here ....and each time I say no , then no I don't smoke and 3 ,4 times I say no and yet still they persist ....the last dude is standing there telling me its a tranquil place, free no dirhams no police but still trying to sell me a lump of something the size of an egg


I feel like screaming f e c k off I don't f e c in smoke . I almost wish I did as you need to be stoned in this country to survive the place.

And now in the distance I see about 15 bleedin kids on their way ..

Give me bleedin strength
