Doc on tour, France, Spain, Morroco.

Bit of rain this morning but not enough to give the van the wash it desperately needs .... the young German couple left very early and the other couple were still in bed so I thought it was the perfect time to.let my lot have a run free .... all well enough till the older couple came out their van and blu decided to introduce herself rather abruptly... they weren't the friendliest folk .

But hey ho they've left now too.
Still not decided if I'll stay a second night or not.

I'm a little wary in Morocco parked on my own in some places , I just get a weird gut feeling but will see how I feel after lunchtime.

I've replaced the strap that holds my battery in the engine bay at least .

I think my usb socket is knackered though . I have others just not in such convenient locations for charging my tablet and table lamp etc.

Just change one of the other usb,s over,will take 2 mins and keep you busy😅 and happy birthday 🎂.

I would but they're a different design so won't fit in the same place..

I might open it up though see if anything obvious

Managed to sort the USB socket ... dodgy connection on the switch .


Was having a wee look at the generator too, it's definitely a fuel starvation issue .. I disconnected it from the tank, drained the tank and attempted to run it off a fuel can but its just not sucking up fuel.

It will need to be dropped out again and checked over , will need to find someone knowledgeable with generators though .
 
I moved on from the lake parking after lunch as within 20 minutes I'd had 2 different Shepherds come begging at the door ....I'm worn down with the lack of peace in Morocco it seems everyone just sees tourists as a source of something for free or to sell things to. There were a few locals in cars having picnics that the shepherds could have approached but they went nowhere near....instead they headed straight to me palms outstretched.


I headed towards chefchaoun, a pleasant drive through the mountains only spoiled by 3 teenagers at one point standing in the road attempting to make me stop then them banging the side of the camper when I didn't....and then a group of younger kids doing the same as I drove through their village. It's like driving through a safari park at times only the animals are better behaved. I'm weary of the Moroccans .. I'm hoping to last till the 23rd before catching the ferry but at the moment I'm uncertain..

Anyway I returned to a spot by a river approx 15 miles from chefchaoun where I stayed 2 years ago with Alan and fiona and Martin and thereasa ... its not the prettiest parking spot but a nice walk by the river with the dogs and it was quiet last time. Hopefully it's the same this time.

Your experience of beggers reminds me of Egypt.
Step out of the hotel and you were immediately harassed by them.
I was ready to punch one in particular until the OH restrained me.
In the end we were confined to the hotel 😡

Yeah after 2 months of it I'll like to.punch a few too. I wouldn't mind so much but half the buggers are better dressed than me.
