8 hours now since I checked in at port I could have been on the 12.30 ferry if not for police. Then the 2.30 ferry didn't leave till nearly 16.30 ...police here on a go slow too . Nothings moved in 10 minutes

Blu going to pee herself it's been over 4 hours since they were out

Do you have to take dogs out every four hours through the night?

That’s hardly fair Chaser. The dogs don’t know they are going on a daytime ferry and won’t be going out for a long period whereas night time is a routine that they are used to.

You are not really in to holidaying are you Tam. :giggle: :whistle2:
That's not holidaying Charlie that's a piece of nonsense. That's me only just cleared the port .

8.5 hours in total ...and a complete shambles from start to finish. I've crossed from Italy to Greece in only 1.5 hours more than that's taken today

And for what reason?

None other than an overpoliced state.

Now you're being stupid.. since their walk this morning they've had one pee 2 hours before ferry left because of rubbish workings at the ferry terminal.

Normally I take them out just before we board and Normally ferries run on time or very near . A 2.5 hour delay in boarding then a delay in leaving turned what should have been 2 hours max in to nearly 5 hours

jongood
Manana Jon.

The Spanish are building a tunnel to Morocco apparently completed by 2030. 🙄
Bob.
Lol hate to imagine the chaos that'll cause with the police stopping and checking every car 3 feking times

Just refitted it on dash today , couldn't use it in Morocco unfortunately. Works most of the time but I think its playing up at times. Might have to invest in a new one
We loaded moroccan maps onto ours from the xgody Facebook site. They worked very well and were surprisingly very accurate.

There is a guy living in one of the car parks you used (got stuck in) on the way to the ferry a few years back. He's been there 18 months or so now, he had 2 cars and his motorhome there, all the MOT's had run out and noone bothered him or moved him on. It's the BoPeep car park not far from Newhaven so if you find places like that you won't have to move often, if at all 😂
But where does he go from there?
At a dead end of any hope of moving on .
Next step is sleeping on the street?

Were hear now Jon, all good on the road over from Marrakech
There wasnt much at Azrou just some odd campsites and one with large coffee pots outside. I recall driving up to the Cedar forest to check out the maquette monkeys. Had to move the van away from the trees as they were using it for a ladder to the lower branches.

You would have to ask him, just pointing out that there are places you can take the P.
The one car he has left has the number plate Y5 LOG which I don't think is a coincidence.
He is of pension age, not sure exactly, but I think he intends to see his days out there.

Was only saying that it’s the final resting place of your lifestyle, nowhere left to go?
Then again he/she could be as rich ( monetary) and just living a lifestyle choice.

Stupid, if you say so cause you are always right.
But I would have thought it was more stupid to expect a whole country to work around you.
That's unfair, it's not unreasonable to expect the ferry to go on time or thereabouts, imagine if instead of Tam and his dogs it was a family with a baby stuck in a car or a toddler who wasn't allowed to go out to go to the loo ... would you say the same to them? No you wouldn't. He has dogs and you don't understand that they are his 'family' and they don't understand why they are stuck inside for hours and hours and having to 'hold on' when they aren't used to it.

I've low blood pressure. It's a medical fact those who rant are healthier than those who bottle it up and say it'll be fine .

Much healthier to get annoyed

Are you sure that's medical research and not a pop psychology take on things?

In Freud's era the steam engine was about the most advanced bit of kit. So he used the steam engine as a metaphor for the mind. Pressure builds up and if it isn't released it causes an explosion and so on.

This model has been shown to be flawed. People who express aggression a lot don't then calm down; they tend to become more aggressive. (For instance, which angry person in the public sphere have we seen becoming less angry over time?)

Now we're in the computer age and our dominant model of the brain is that it's a computer. Still just a model, mind. Certainly also wrong. But in a modern way.

In every instance we need to check whether the model stands up empirically, to the evidence we can measure.

The evidence I've seen, and I haven't made a study of it, suggests that those who are more angry may be more prone to cardiovascular disease and maybe also some other problems such as cancer.

When faced with that in the past I just used to get out & take Alf for a walk regardless of the police/customs/staff rantings.

Bob.
It still won't make the journey quicker.
