Apologies if you thought I was aiming the comment at you, that was not the intention.I refrained from commenting throughout as I know nothing about spraying or respraying
Never thought that at allApologies if you thought I was aiming the comment at you, that was not the intention.
I've not much confidence in them taking all the rust off it though or the ability to support the whole van with the wheels offI would get them to paint it underneath as it's an awful job to do
But on a public forum you will get all sorts of comments good and bad, that's a chance you take?Too many “well meaning “ negative vibes can make things difficult to deal with!

Can’t argue with thatBut on a public forum you will get all sorts of comments good and bad, that's a chance you take?
I agree, I often wonder why?Too many “well meaning “ negative vibes can make things difficult to deal with!
Personally I wouldn’t bother, it might look really good with some fresh paint over old rust but we both know that’s not the right way to do itI've not much confidence in them taking all the rust off it though or the ability to support the whole van with the wheels off

I remember Dad installing central heating in a house we moved to in about 1964. He designed oil fired burners for boilers for a living. Anyway I was 13 and when this huge steel tank arrived to store the oil I was asked to climb inside and wire brush off all the rust inside and hoover it out before it could be filled with oil! Now that was a dirty job. No mask, just a boiler suit!I would get them to paint it underneath as it's an awful job to do
They always used to reckon rust and dust underneath didn't matter when they used to spray with oil as it held the oil on.I m going to be painting the chassis of my motorhome when the weather breaks. If I could get someone to do it reasonably cheap I'd use them as it's going to be a messy ball ache. My concern if I was in Morocco is what Tam thinks, that they'll just paint over any rust! I'd be happy if the Moroccans rubbed any rust down then applied a rust stabiliser then a raptor type paint! But I doubt they would.
Yes, that is exactly how it works. That's what I thought a spectrometer does, give you the exact mix to match up. Fiat 210 will obviously be whiter than the existing so using a spectrometer will make a near perfect match taking into account fade etc.

There used to be some garages around here that when they changed your oil they sprayed the old stuff under your motor.
That's why we have the spray water then attach. Great ideaI religiously remove the angles mortes stickers as soon as I leave France so I dont end up with 3 sharp white squares. Looking at the fading on some peoples stickers makes me think they're in for an unpleasant surprise when they eventually remove them.
It's not liverpool it's MoroccoPlenty of bits of brick rubble about hold the weight of that easy
