FANCY MY JOB,THINK AGAIN!

You may have seen lots of posters on club sites offering jjobs with the club" immediate start" they say...think again.
The Club has upset so many staff this year ,many have quit mid season, the club is now offering us £250 per recruit if we can persuade you to sign up...£500 a couple.
Things have got so that they tried to get office staff fromHQ to work on sites...you can guess how that worked out So we're paid Minimum wage for a 40 hour week on average ,clean bogs, pick up dog pop, break up fights, paint, cut grass etc. This we have done knowing we are a club but the goodwill has run out and we are fleeing
HQ lie to themselves blaming Covid but the rot set in Several years ago with new management and the bodged name change
And now with Deposits being planned on payments and a second hand website being bought for next season were following our head of IT and leaving.....these wise rats are following one of our respected managers and leaving.
Anyway I'm off to check the bogs and check a few folks in
Check out the posters and get a better job at ASDA
Goodnight

Great. Get out the chairs and prepare for lift off. Be sure to keep them upto the post etc etc etc etc. Welcome

Still.... £250 though 🤷‍♂️

Welcome, I await with baited breath, I left that club after over 30 years membership. The straw that broke the camels back was the re-brand without consulting the mebership, that and the fact that at the NEC you got nothing, whereas the CCC gives it's members free drinks on their hospitality stand. I understand I wasn't the only one to jump ship the CCC

:hiya2:
:WelcomeFlag:

We helped out on a privately owned campsite for 4 seasons, we enjoyed it….but we were not wardens and only there to clean the facilities and a spot of gardening & mowing so no stress there but we did go to a recruitment day with the C&CC years ago and decided no that wasn’t for us.
Wardens get the sh…tty end of the stick, on call 24 hours and get kicked in the teeth!
Bet you’re glad you’re (getting) out of it!
We are no longer members of the CAMC!

Free drinks you say.....

The Club has upset so many staff this year ,many have quit mid season, ...........
Things have got so that they tried to get office staff fromHQ to work on sites..
I've noticed that when browsing I have occasionally seen that the site is: 'Closed due to staff shortage as a result of isolation'.
And now with Deposits being planned on payments and a second hand website being bought for next season were following our head of IT and leaving.....
In ten years of membership I have used CLs for maybe just a couple of nights a year, booking by phone to the CL, as hitherto I've only toured abroad. However, a couple of weeks ago as a last resort I thought I'd have a go at touring in U.K. so I looked at booking a couple of CAMC club sites. Their website booking facility is glacially (and I mean glacially) slow, taking up to 20 seconds or a minute to update when I'm trying to do 'What if.......' searches and sooo clunky....... dreadful. According to messages on the CAMC 'Discussions' forum it's always like that. I tried several times including very late at night and early morning but have given up as I don't seek stressful motorhoming.

Welcome!

Hi welcome to the FUN. I've visited a few CAMC over the last 14months, talking to a few of your former colleagues I can understand why you sound a bit peed off. It would appear that a lot of the clientele have changed due to travel restrictions imposed as a result of CV19.

People who would normally jet off to the sun are having to stay in Blighty, that coupled to the adverse weather adds to the mix, with the poor Wardens being at the end off it all.

Never mind all over now. Mind you Asda can be a bit like that 😜

:welcome4: I hope you get past the initial posts and tell us more. We all have our opinions of the two clubs, good or bad. I've been a member of both for ten years or more and apart from one minor incident when the warder, sorry, warden should have known better, never had the need to complain and found everyone very pleasant and helpful. Mention of sending wardens anywhere and everywhere struck a note as we have just left Dingwall C&CC Site and the lady there had just been sent from the New Forest site to "man" Dingwall. Perhaps it was something she said!
