Did I save your expensive moho mirror today?

Considering fitting some short arm mirrors to our coach built as the long arm ones seem to add a ridiculous amount of unnecessary width to the vehicle. I have taken one of the short armed ones off my work van for a trial & the field of vision seems hardly any different, expensive option but van just feels so much more manageable.

Best is on the Mway 100 meters from exit slip, BMW, Audi, Range Rover etc suddenly charges across all lanes and goes over the solid lined triangle with hash lines inside

3points if 'Plod' gets you....trouble is they are never there
This is why I have always advocated that these solid triangles & boxes should be constructed of 10" kerbstone , concrteted in. No assistance offered or given to anyone hitting them & no medical facilities until the road is cleared.
As I said I do believe a lot of motorhomers are driving their moho like a car.......
& they would still be 3 feet from the hedge as many have no idea if the width, or do not wish to drag it down a hedge.

Well, I certainly think I did, as it appears it was on my side of the road heading towards my expensive moho mirror.......

Just remember if you get up enough speed you can take everything with you

With all the narrow roads here in Cornwall, and the holiday time arrival of the "Bennydormers" I find it helps if when confronted with an idiot driving at excessive speed coming the other way, you-----

1 close your eyes
2 breathe in
3 call to whichever God of your choice
4 see how long you can swear without repetition
5 head straight to the fridge for a cold one as soon as you arrive home

I found a road afterwards, with no other pesky mohos on it..... :giggle:

These are the kind of roads I am usually on ...the joys of a PVC 👋

A question that is asked new (within a year) LGV drivers of passing their test is when can and when can you not not overtake, so far out of over 300 in the course of the last 2.5 years not 1 has be able to identify the road markings.

So why would MH's be any different scary 🙈

Unfortunately since the introduction of a computerized Theory Test, candidates merely take practice tests online or purchase DVDs, so they learn the questions they are going to be asked rather than read the Highway Code.

Do you know if they will fit on mirror guards?

Not wishing to rain on Riverbankannie's parade as these '' Van Ears '' certainly highlight the width of the mirrors, but I seriously doubt that a GREEN forward facing reflecting / fluorescing accessory is legal.

The only vehicles that I'm aware of that use green lamps / reflectors / fluorescents are doctors cars / paramedics & ambulances.

Maybe this will put your mind at rest on my behalf :giggle: Helpfully highlighted in green;)
