Desperately seeking electrician to fix lights and diesel heater in van

hi welcome to the club, that £20 will be well spent here.
Try if you can to post lots of pictures, don’t worry about anything particular just post away. Someone may have an idea by seeing some switch or setting that’s wrong.
If you can I’d take Landy Andy up on his offer, very knowledgeable person.

Glad you have come back , we really are here to help, sorry for thinking you were a bloke, and hope you can now get your van sorted , as I don't know your circumstances this might be totally out of order , but couldn't you bring your daughter with you for a day out as I'm sure it won't take long to put your van right.
If this is no good I hope you get it sorted soon.

It might be worth asking if there is a member that lives close by who would be willing take the van to Rupert for you 🤔
Of course we would need to know the area where you live?😊

That is because it is being used from the engine battery for use only when the van is in use & not as a night heater. They do not fit a silencer .Same is in america for their trucks juts have an inlet pipe without filter & an exhaust with no silencer .Both make a huge difference to the noise output

as said fit a silencer & intake filter & noise will disappear mostly.

I have a disabled daughter who can only travel on a stretcher, so we bought a second hand ambulance- a Renault Master 2011. This has meant we can take my daughter to hospital appointments without having to wait around for NHS or pay a small fortune to have a private ambulance.
My problem is I can't get any of the electrics to work in the back of the van so no lights and can't get diesel heater to work. I've found the leisure battery and have charged it but still no joy. I have also found the inverter but the whole panel of switches in the back seems dead. (Very cold daughter!)
We live in Ware, Hertfordshire, and I wanted to ask if there is anyone near us (can't leave daughter on her own for long) who could help fix this? I have found someone in Bedfordshire (too far away) but nothing nearer. I am 75, my knowledge of van electrics is almost zilch so think I will need some professional help. Any suggestions?

Hi. I was going to recommend a local (Peterborough) chap that works on TFL vehicle systems and the more commercial electrical applications. However, he has been booked to view an ambulance in Ware already and so we are assuming it's for you anyway. If it is Dan then he is highly recommended

Yes, his name is Dan. Fingers crossed he can sort it. He's coming on Monday.
 
Just to let you all know, Dan came and has fixed the Genisys system. He was so kind and spent quite a while sorting things out. I just need now to get a controller for it (this had been removed, hence my difficulty in finding how to turn anything on) and we shall have light! I have even found someone who will check the diesel heater for me. The Internet is an amazing thing.
I hope you all have tremendous fun with your motorhomes and thank you all again for your support and helpful suggestions. It has meant a huge deal to me at a very difficult time.

He's great. I got his number from my dash cam after following him to work when I needed Intellitec controller looking at.
