defibrillator Fundraising

Funsters are an unbelievably kind and generous lot so I don't think it's fair to moan about the amount raised. It did cross my mind in view of the fact that our average age is probably the wrong side of 40(ok60) that a lot of us may have watched/nursed loved ones through prolonged illnesses like cancer, degenerative neurological diseases and Alzheimers and may well think that a sudden cardiac arrest at a Funster meet surrounded by friends wouldn't be a bad way to go. I have donated by the way as have many others and the generosity of Funsters should never be underestimated or doubted. Fair enough 4 would have been nice but one or two will be fine, might buy my own as Nick is still quite useful for emptying the loo.

I think we a can maybe get three, and four is certainly in range, we have a few months yet before next years rally season kicks in. (y)

I'm already holding £668 in cash from raffles and similar.
We've raised £1275 on the just giving page and I should get all of that if they keep their promise of no charges.
And an extremely kind Funster (who has asked not to be named) has privately donated £500

Making a grand total so far of £2425 (y)

Please put an end to these rumors @Jim
Can you confirm that members with a Life membership will still only get 1 shot at resuscitation
I heard on the grapevine that the 3 Defibs were also an attempt to extend membership for the difficult to re start group
And those of us on yearly subs will only get a 75ah battery with jump leads

Linky not worky :(

Not working for me either.
Just in case, tried another browser. 404 Page Not Found response there too.

Yearly members have been upgraded to 110amp battery(Thnk You Jim) but when its flat its flat (No generators under any circumstances)

Merry Christmas at least it got a bump

Have we bought these yet?

We had well over the price of the first one back in September, and having just checked there is now £1965 which is only £35 short of the target for 2.
