Dartford Crossing 🤬🤬🤬

You mid the point I am not stressed at all but find it quite amusing that such a large organisation can not get this right, this is the forth time this has happened 🤣
As making an assumption of Ahmed getting a bus ! I could hardly say the cost of his pint! Could I 🤣
What I object to is the tyne tunnel. There is no separate motorhome rate so it’s £4.80 each way 😳😳😳

£2.40 for the car 🥲🥲

Anyone can make mistakes but 4 times🤣
4 times requires TFL level incompetence.

My old work had a domain that wasn't .co.uk or .com and TFL wouldn't let you register because they didn't recognise it as a valid email....

...my company required a TFL account in order to claim expenses.

London was one of my regions....

I did once write to them to say that I would accept that from Transport For Luton but that London should really know that there are more than two TLD (top level domains) in existence nowadays.

I would call them Muppets, but I liked the Muppets....

Totally agree. Just a rip off.

Luckily I have a blue badge exemption (car as no longer have a motorhome) but that has to be renewed annually. I rarely use the TT now but you have to have an account in order to apply for the exemption. I think I have £15 credit in the TT account.

I am very grateful for the exemption as when having to use the tunnel for hospital appointments it could have cost almost £5 a day, £25 or £35 a week etc etc Add onto that hospital parking (no concessions) and the cost of attending for treatment becomes unaffordable for some people.

I had a gut full of call centres manned by ‘workers ‘ who are not capable of understanding English the latest one i have dealt with is some persons in india /Philippines/and south africa .
Me too. It just further reduces our standard of living.

Yep had an account for years. With the 10% discount it’s still more expensive than the. Dartford crossing

Transport for London receives debt rating boost

As of November 2023, Transport for London's (TfL) debt was £15.2 billion, including finance leases. TfL's debt is expected to increase gradually to fund capital projects

Problems have always been there.

I'm just far enough away that it doesn't affect me most of the time but I know of Londoners who regularly get charged for trips they never made etc etc etc.

"register your vehicle for automatic payment.."

No thanks. Not until your system can distinguish my number plate from wording on someone's jumper....

The system is flaky at best. There's no real transparency about whether you've strayed into a zone you need to pay for so the first you know about it is the expensive fine that lands on your doorstep.

"oh, but there were clear signs indicating you were entering a zone"

Aside from the fact that the 2cm squared sign was lost in a sea of street furniture, but a red letter C in a circle doesn't really explain what's going on. If you know, you know. If you don't then expect a £90 fine...

I'll just pop that soapbox back now before I climb up onto the second rung and stick a fresh battery into the loudhailer... :D
