Have you seen the price of the German and French stickers. Go with the official sites shown in other posts.

Check out https://www.brussels.be/lez for the information. You don't need an expensive rip off sticker.

Yep wouldn’t buy any from those links from the app , just to say the app is handy on your phone if any doubt where the zones are. Already got the German one from the official site, will do likewise for any others I need. 😉

How many bloody stickers will we need soon, together with the 'Go'-type boxes?

Why could the EU not have seen this coming and banged some heads together to ensure an integrated system?

That was a rhetorical question because I know that countries wanted to retain their 'competence' (sovereign control) over many matters, which includes vehicle control.

I often quote the transport industry in which there was agreement on coupling up tractor units with trailers for pneumatics, hydraulics and the vehicle coupling, without government interference AFAIK.

So why not Emissions Zone Registration, since it is all aimed at EU-wide targets??

For the French Crit’Air sticker which page of your V5 do you upload? The first page or the inner one and is the vehicle category for a 5.99m campervan M1 or N1?

I scanned the vehicle details only, nothing else. It was accepted after I had convert an extremely small jpeg file to a PDF. Sticker arrived a few days ago. Vehicle cat should be M1

The page to send is the one with the Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM) and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) close to the top and all the other vehicle data below.
The vehicle category is what ever is shown on the V5 half way down that page J: Vehicle category

I did mine a week or so ago and the sticker arrived a couple of days ago.
I did the German one at the same time and that arrived before the French one.

Logic would be correct in this case and you do need a separate one - the Crit Airs are not transferable between vehicles for obvious reasons.

France application on PC with Safari completed 10 minutes including the scanning. Thanks for the great advice everyone.

Just did the French critair for car and found it no prob… but, I want to a 90 day break winter 23/24 in motorhome. I have a 1991 Hymer B644 based on 2.5 Fiat Ducato. It doesn’t seem to fit any ‘sticker’ categories for France or Spain. Does this mean I can’t go to these countries or is there a way to sort out ‘elderly’ vehicles to make them legal in both places.
Thanks in anticipation of responses

The Critair is only needed to enter certain towns & cities so I believe ,
I’m sure you are allowed to travel in Spain & France .

If you can't get a sticker it means that you cannot enter the zones covered by the scheme - you can still visit the country but just need to avoid going anywhere where a sticker is required.

Hmmm well I have no intention of visiting any of the big cities so perhaps I stand a decent chance! I’m guessing that the main roads/motorways that bypass the cities tend to be exempt anyway even when the cities themselves require stickers

What is your problem in completing the on-line application. If you are looking for a vehicle description 'camping car' or a UK equivalent you won't find one. Just use the 'Light Commercial vehicles' option, at lease that is what I have done without problem.

My 3.5t pvc is a class M1, which I think comes out as a car. It’s on my CofC and a friends V5

Same here with our Adria Compact and M1 on the V5C at ‘J: Vehicle Category’, although at 3.65t it’s taxation class here in the U.K. is firmly within PHGV territory.

2004 9ton RV 8.1 litre petrol/LPG got a 1 thanks France. :giggle:

Hi
Looking at the crit air application form they want to know category of vehicle & the emissions ? Can’t see either on my V5 ? Is there somewhere else to look ?
Thanks for that info rod vw....I applied for mine yesterday and I had no problem except uploading the pic of the front page of my V5..I did it all on my phone..I had to download a compression app and reduce my pic ...it worked...I have a 2008 bessacar 2 berth on a fiat ducato 2.2 turbo diesel and was given category 3..I have no intention of going to big cities ( especially Paris and Rouen )...but knowing how quickly the French change their minds, I thought it better to be safe..but how do you know which places allow which categories...

It might be worth reading here or keep up to date with many things relating to Motorhoming in France here.

Any one have difficulty paying for the Crit'Air on the official website? I've managed to upload V5 page 2 and got to last page and I get an error message (in red) When I hit the 'Pay 'Online button. There is no option to put credit card details in. I'm on a MacBook and have tried Chrome and Safari.

Ok, you've lost me.

The validation code you entered was incorrect. That’s probably why you couldn’t continue to payment.

Spotted it! Thanks, although I tried a number of times by refreshing to code and it's doing just the same thing, I'll try again!

Still not working, five more attempts and got my wife to check code each time! Will try tomorrow on a PC, thanks for the help anyway.
