Christmas in Spain (or Portugal?)

Anybody used San Antonio Camper Park in Altea? If so what was it like please?
It looks pleasant enough, but you might be lucky to get a pitch there. There seem to be lots of long-stayers there, some with large vans, taking up more than one pitch.
The pitches at the front are directly next to the busy road.
We quite like Cap Blanch. The only drawback is that they don't take bookings.
We like Altea and have stayed at Cap Blanch several times.

San Antonio don't take bookings either, you turn up and take a chance?

Don't know why but the coordinates on s4s don't match for either site. Where did Emmit get yours from?
Dennis
Memory from finding it on a bike ride from Villajoyosa early this year and an examination of Google maps Sat. view.
That brought up photos of the camperstop and the Coords. (y)

Over the last 5-6yrs it’s been full every time I’ve walked along there…

Yes I forgot to say cap blanch takes no bookings, you just turn up but they do have a small turn over and I’ve always got in…

Another vote for Bonterra Resort in Benicassim for Christmas and New Year. Def check via phone or e mail for availability asap if considering. Lovely clean site, nice bar restaurant, lovely town and beachgood mix of nationalities. We will be there for the 3rd time this year...
We were at Bonterra for Xmas and New year last year, going for January and February this year.

Surely it's not a sandy beach . It's pebbles apart from a little bit up up the anchor
It's a bit of a mixture I think I was thinking of another beach but it was OK for paddleboarding which was all I was worried about.

We don't really do Christmas in fact we have rented our apartment to Swizz neighbour's family coming from Bulgaria so they can have Christmas together, when we lived in the UK we went to Tenerife or Lanzarote for Christmas/ New Year and the highlight was the Spanish celebration and the three kings, we get back here on the 3rd January . 😁

You need to be in a resort or campsite that has lots of English, here in Javea they cash in at some of the restaurants especially English owned doing dinners for in excess of min €50 a head if your lucky. 😯
Many are a lot more 😁 your better off going to a Spanish restaurant with a normal menu, or get togethers on a campsite. 😎 Bob.

We have a winner 😲 the best over priced menu if you want to go out New Years Eve. :Eeek:  Bob.

See you there. We are going to put our bikes in the car and drive down from javea

It's all down hill from your villa, πŸ˜€ we cycled to Moraira via Teulada last weekend and came back over Cumbre del Sol and Granadella park .πŸ‘πŸ™‚
A friend cycled to Benidorm from Javea came back with his bike in a taxi said he got a puncture we think he let it down. πŸ˜œπŸ˜€ Bob.

My idea of a perfect summer 😝
