I'm speaking to Chester in the morning so should have an idea of how many places we will still have available to us, anyone thinking of going I would book soon.

I have a gazebo that was given to me last year at Pemburry for delivery to someone possible? @Jim

If I bring it to Chester can the rightful owner take it please.

Steve

Hi I am thinking of booking this if its not too late ? Something I am wandering is is it ok to turn up late on the thursday or friday morn ? As I am unsure what time I can get away from work on the Thursday, I may have to drive a good part of the way and have a stopover then finish journey friday morn.

Spoke to Chester we are still alright for booking pitches but electric hook ups are getting short.

Here's the plan roughly, please feel free to make any comments.

Thursday...Arrivals parking up and settling in.

Friday..Evening in the Marquee Quiz Night and General Get to gether.

Saturday... 10.45 Coffee Morning , with Easter Bonnet and Easter Cake Competition, let's see how many cakes and bonnets we can get. We had great fun last year and a great way of getting to know fellow funsters.

Saturday Evening 7.30. Jacobs table Cheese & Wine General get together

Sunday morning Bacon Rolls 10am to 11am

Sunday evening get together in the Marquee.

While we at Motorhome Fun have the marquee to use as we want, there is also a huge amount going on in the adjacent Food Festival to which we have unlimited access during opening hours. With the City of Chester a 10 minute walk away from the Race Course.

Of course it is up to everyone if you want to join in or not.

Anyone who wants to make groups up for the quiz please let us know @Gerri19 will guide us on numbers etc.

It is always fun those making cakes to put their ideas forward on the thread of what we are doing, the Gin cake went down well last year. :)

I'd like to be in the quiz please, Carol ...... do we have to sort our teams out or will it just be decided on day?

Also, can someone please post the phone number of that Indian restaurant that delivers meals if a group wants to order a meal to eat together in the marquee or one of their mh's ... thank you.

Also, for anyone never been before, there is a ghost walk tour in the town too if anyone interested ..

@movan I think @Zoppydog and @Anthea M have suggested some of the new funsters could get together and make some newbie teams up that sounded good. No reason teams can't be put together before hand to give @Gerri19 a idea how many teams there will be.

Hi,

For the organised stuff like quiz, cheese and wine etc, how does it work, do you bring your own stuff or is food and drink it pre bought and sold to us?
Not been on a uk rally before.

Thanks Lin :)
Edit Ps if anyone wants us for their quiz team, both early 40s if your trying to spread your age demographic :D

This is our 1st rally Steve & I would like to do the quiz with the newbies if there is a group, not that we're any good though but enjoy a laugh of course that maybe not such a good recommendation after all.

We would also be interested in the ghost walk that @movan just mentioned.

Hi Lin, for the quiz just put your name down , think it's a good idea some of the new funsters came up with for some teams of new funsters (see previous post)

Cheese & Wine (at fun meets we often have a Jacobs table) they are amazing every one brings something puts it on the table then from the minute it's on the table it's there to share with fellow funsters. This time however it is the Cheese & Biscuits that would be put on the table and you have yours own wine.

The cakes on the coffee morning are usually shared with fellow funsters and those that have made or bought cakes, we bring our own cups of coffee to the marquee because the numbers are to big to boil the water.

Any other questions please ask it helps other new funsters as well . I always think when you join in you do get to meet others for a chat etc.

Cheers, I thought Jacobs referred to the crackers to go with the cheese :D

How many people are in the teams for the quiz?

We are newbies and would like to join any quiz group( not good but enjoy participating!) and @Carol is there a music tent ? Rob plays violin and would join in a music round if there is one all very casual and I would pack it in MH
Put me down for Easter a Bonnet going to make one with the children I look after!!
Edit...
Carol tried @Gerri19 but it wouldn't accept have I done something wrong?!

We are having a clearout of DVD's all mint but we no longer watch them so anyone who wants to take away a selection on their travels ? They'll be offered at £1 each disc. All proceeds to a charity of Jim's choice
We are not being precious about them Disney will be the same £1
Although perhaps each Disney should be accompanied with a non disney purchase and higher donations accepted but no prejudice
