Rally Chat Chester Easter 2018 What's planned.

I'm thinking of heading off tomorrow too while it's a bit drier for packing away the awning. Have the tractor on standby!!

What’s the procedure to arrange a tow tomorrow? Do we hang a white flag over the windscreen or something?

Just got back from our tour of Chester with @RedFrame , lovely four hours very informative too, what a smashing city Chester is..

Many thanks...

Wanted to add my thanks to Simon @RedFrame - wasn't the walk/tour I was anticipating... It was so much better (y).
Makes me want to come back soon.
So thanks Simon for all the hard work & effort you put into that, planning & delivery.

Mrs Westhaman (Heather) enjoyed her walk with Red and would like to thank him, for the tour around Chester. I thank him again for giving me some peace this afternoon so I could listen to West ham on the radio. At last a win and I would like to thank you taxpayers for paying for the extra security, whats £60,000 between friends.

We're off to the cinima this evening to get away from the mud

Reds walk this morning about 3 miles. Walk round the food fair grazing my lunch. Loren’s Nordic walking this afternoon, 2 miles. Lack of sleep last night with the rain, early start for this mornings walk. It’s a boring old fart and early night for me

Please see Chester Scheduled Rally thread for Tractor information
Thank you.

I thought I might be light enough to be able to drive off today but I am stuck! Apologies to those who might feel my current location is invading their space. I have been assured that the tractor will be available from 12:00 until 18:00 tomorrow so hopefully I will be gone not long after 12:00

10 out of 10 for trying !

Kids tucked up in bead now just chilling in the van.
Looking forward to tomorrow's muddying adventure

You lightweight!;)

Who said that?

Wendy and I are still stood in the freezing rain with clipboard in hand waiting for you to arrive so we can go in and get warm and join in the Fun.

You are telling fibs Joy, apart from the freezing rain.
I arrived Fri pm in my 'new' van, got 20 feet into the mud and had to be towed to a spot about 30 yards from the marquee.
First trip out, supposed to be a 'shake down' , before a trip to Spain next week -and man flu as well (a cold)
Hope to see you before I get towed off

Morning, can't find this thread...can you please hyperlink it or copy information to this thread?
Having walked the site this morning will almost certainly need a tow to get off here. Hope to do so this afternoon.
Thank you

It’s a shame about the weather because so much time and effort has gone into organising everything, the organisers must be so upset.

Nothing's been cancelled, all the "Fun" events have gone ahead, there's been lots of dry, most of the rain has been at night, been a bit chilly but nothing a sweater doesn't fix...

I've done everything I planned to, I've had 'fun'...

Just underfoot is a bit squelchy, it might take a bit more time to escape... oh and the van might need a bit of a mop... :p.

I doubt it worries the organisers too much, they still get their money from the traders who probably pay an extortionate fee to set up there.
Personally I think they need to invest some money in making the ground better for us campers, even if it’s temporary metal tracks for us to drive on, better for us and the ground would repair a lot quicker than the damage we’re all doing by being towed around the site I would imagine.
