Changing MOT rules proposed by Transport Minister

To quote my MOT tester: "If you're happy to ride it I'm happy to pass it".

Well one day I may be driving my Polish 'veteran' registered MH in the UK with no 'MOT'. It will be well serviced.

Are you going to make an 'outcry'?
There are exemptions for classic vehicles in the UK presumably because they aren't used generally as serious forms of transport I had a vitesse a few years ago that was excempt but it was well looked after. It is a bit different to somewhere where no vehicles have any sort of mot.

MOT test every 2 years as it costs £40 where I live, will they double the MOT price too £80 to cover their losses?

I don't disagree with the sentiment, however, the Government currently sets the maximum fee garages can charge for various classes of test eg a car MOT - £54.85.

Obviously, test stations can choose to charge less and indeed many do.
