Caravan Club check-in times

We were caught out at Bridlington like that. Now check before planning timings
Ha, ha, we arrived at Bridlington literally 5 mins early, we were informed of such, and asked to wait while the warden made herself a cup of tea as she had just finished the toilet blocks and needed a break. We didn’t object, I am sure she needed a cuppa. She came back 30 secs later having scrapped the tea break, presumably as she would not have finished by 12 noon. No had hassle really, we would have waited.

No chance! 🤣

Check out time (before a given time) I can understand, but checking into a site ? really.
Travelling in the UK and sticking to set times is impossible, people have to negotiate the traffic and in the UK it can be an hour turns into 5.
If you turn up to a site (not having booked) and they have a pitch available whats the problem with just parking up on it whatever time it is.

It’s not a checking in time as such. It’s a ‘not before’ time. Usually you can check in up till 8pm.

Yebbut, SOME people arrive early to grab the best pitch, don't they Janine ........................?.

One advantage of turning up an hour early is getting one of the best pitches on the site. So good in fact that I have just extended my stay by a couple of nights 😀

I'm probably alone here but we rarely arrive before 1600 hrs or later. Dont really understand the need to arrive so early, some sites have problems on access roads & if people leave a bit later causes a bit of a jam. Keswick springs to mind 🤔. I think club sites are like motorways, the rules are made to keep the majority safe.

As it's the C&CC that has THS's, of which you speak of in an earlier post, why would one changed to a club that also does not allow check-in until 13.00hrs?
Because one simply does not for take the use of sites, merely that of THS therefore the provision of check-in times does not appertain to one 😂😂😂
