Will PM everyone who has put their names down with the link now :) so we can try to get just us Funsters booked on the prime camping spot (Site B) before this link is open to the public!

We now have until midday on Saturday 11th March to book Site B (best spot (y)) for just us Funsters - after that it goes out on the BunkFest website & social media! Please message here on the thread if you want the booking link or PM me.This link won't be made public until next Saturday so us Funsters have a chance to book the 20 pitches (11 may be gone shortly due to previous interest) available on the prime location Site B & we can arrive on Thursday morning & leave on Monday evening so slightly earlier arrival & departure than others booking :) BunkFest organisers have asked us to point out that there may be some activity around us on the Sports Park during the extended time & as mentioned before no dogs are allowed. The price is a little higher than last year at £35 plus £2.76 booking fee per person for the long weekend so total £75.52 if for two people.
It looks like a great festival & a well appointed Sports Park so hope we can encourage a few more to join us?!

Event Details
On the banks of the Thames in South Oxfordshire, Wallingford BunkFest is a free-access community festival providing a unique, family friendly celebration with something for everyone. In 2017, BunkFest celebrates its 16th year of life - starting from a small marquee in a pub car park to filling the KineCroft and providing entertainment throughout Wallingford, on the River Thames and on the Bunk Railway line.

BunkFest camping is located at the Wallingford Sports Park, Hithercroft Road, Wallingford, OX10 9RB.

This is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Town Centre / Kinecroft, or there is a regular free bus service available during the day.

Please note that the camp site is split into three sites. These are all either next to the Pavilion or within a few hundred yards, please check out the different camping options below:

  • Site A: More for family camping of tents only and very close to facilities. Unfortunately no vehicles are allowed on this camping area but can be parked in the adjacent car park in front of the pavilion building. Transport will be available for camping equipment. (music may be heard from the club house upto 2AM)
  • Site B: Camping for tents, caravans and motor homes. Close to facilities.
  • Site C: Camping for tents, caravans and motor homes not far from the facilities – possibly for noisier campers! Note there will be limited lighting and security fences.

Notes

  • Although the Festival starts on Friday, an "All Weekend" ticket allows you to arrive early on Thursday afternoon
  • Children under 5 camp for free, but must be accompanied by an adult
  • No electrical hook up on site
  • Sorry no dogs allowed
  • Site A will be close to the club house and have music playing until 2pm
  • This is a Sports Park and may have clubs playing

Thank you for your reply - we can't hold places for this one as the organisers have made the booking link live so first come first served so once 20 booked that is Site B fully booked & already 8 pitches are booked with 3 more likely soon. They were only going to give us 24 hours :eek: before it went on the website & Facebook but now agreed not until midday Saturday or until full whichever comes first. Hopefully there will still be availability for you to be pitched in our meet area if you do decide to come along.
