Watching that reminds me of the stupid advert on TV where the bloke is in high heels and denim shorts wiggling his bum around!

@Techno Do not buy a crash helmet I have a spare fruit bowl in the van ready for next year;)

That's like asking a young man if he's still a Virgin
The point of the question being?
... just trying to find out if you have as all bikes are different so interested in how it was to ride with the smaller wheels but better gearing. :)

Every shop I've been in has offered test rides you only need to leave your passport. I have gone for 6 speed as it offers the widest coverage for any terrain. These have been ridden up mount Ventoux
I'm sure I will manage :p but Jacs cannot get her head around gears of any number so if I buy her one it is likely to be single speed.
I would also pick the M bar for her.

I've got a brand new Brooks saddle still in its original box somewhere, never knew they were anything special

@Techno ... you've gotta get a cover for your helmet ... loads to choose from!

Alternatively you could have a wiggy ...

What is the world coming to !
Now I'm getting gloating phone calls from members who've now bought a Brompton with the cheek to blame me for the expense I've caused and laughing at me because they're sitting looking at theirs sitting in pride of place in their house whilst I have another four week wait
@ludo :eek:

Got mine Andy! Limited edition "All Black", 6 speed, etc., etc., etc. Great, thanks to you mate for the heads up! Problem is I'm skint now and can't afford to fill the tank with petrol. Come to that, I can't find the tank, or the filler cap! I think I may have been sold a bummer!

I thought @ludo wanted another Pro-Rider electric bike! Don't tell me he's actually going to do some pedalling!!!! :clap2:

Don'y worry Mel. I have a stout rope with fittings to attach to Mrs Ludo's bike. :cycle: I had a similar experience with a tandem that we once owned.

Isn't all black not meant to have blue in it ? Looks a bit girlie to me. I think that's Janet's bike ;)

Blue, GIRLIE? Perhaps so, do you think?

Never thought of that Andy, I'll give it some thought, NOT! Anyway, I think mine will be faster than yours. Lagoon Blue far lighter than Raw Laquer.

Second thoughts Andy! I don't know for sure but I may be a gram or 2 heavier than you so that might cancel the paint weight advantage out.

I'm glad you said that Ludo ... I was thinking it but dare NOT say it! :D I think you've underestimated though ... might be more than a couple of grams ... maybe 4 or 5 kgs ... er, sorry grams.:X3:

I remember my Dad buying my Mum a Moulton when I was a kid. She never ever took to it and the small wheels made it awful to ride even with 3 Sturmey Archer gears! Good suspension but it didn't fold so perhaps that's the thing with a Brompton.

I rode an old Bickerton (like the one below) the other day at a car boot sale it wasn't bad but I certainly wouldn't want to go any distance on one!

I used to have a Madison which was very unusual ... it had a bit of 'give' when it was ridden due to the rubber joints ... never seen one since!

They look like scrap heap challenge creations
