Best Oil

I’m sure the oil question has been asked many times here but can I ask what is the most suitable engine oil for a 19 year old Peugeot Boxer Engine? Thanks

My Peugeot Boxer (19 years old, 29000 miles) handbook recommends:

Use at least semi-synthetic grade

ACEA B3
Esso Ultra
Esso Ultra Diesel
Total Quartz Diesel 7000

Esso Ultron Diesel
Total Quartz 9000
Total Quartz Diesel 9000. These are all all Synthetic

Any idea what the modern equivelant is?

Thats because at the time of Production, Esso and Total were French Brands.

Keep it in the Family so-to-speak.

My first car(petrol) was a real oil-burner. I used to buy recycled oil. Did a trip up to London from Portsmouth. On the return, I stopped near Kingston - "Four gallons(19L) of petrol and four pints of oil, please". "Do you want to put the oil in your boot?" "No, the engine". "What, all of it?" "Yep". 25 miles to the pint.

I had a Wankel engine in one of my cars. Right pain for using oil

what a good oil company would recommend ie comma oils have come a long way in20 years it will still be a 10/40 but which one.
