Benidorm or bust

Try "The Orange Grove" Albir. Prices are very good and it's not a long walk into Beni either. We love Albir.

We used to live on the next street. ( Cami Del volador corbs) or the little road of the flying crows.
I'd say to walk to Benidorm from there is about 1hr 30 mins and not a particularly nice walk.

We walked from Villasol to Albur last year and granted, it's not the most scenic of walks, but its flat.

Our favourite snacky type restaurant in Albir! We walk there from Beni quite a lot when we’re there.

Did you walk along the main road? We walk through the pine woods, and it‘s a lovely walk. You don’t touch the main road at all, it’s flat, and it brings you out at the Orange Grove.

Try the chips with home made garlic mayonnaise - just gorgeous!

If you want Benidorm nightlife don't consider the Orange Grove site, it's a couple of miles away from Benidorm near Alfas Del Pi on the back lanes, ok during the day if you want a long walk, had a ride out in 2014 on my push bike attracted by the low price to see the location... But definitely not walkable for the nightlife.

There may be ( there is) some confusion here

The Orange Grove camper park Alfaz/ Albir.

And the Orange Tree bar in Albir

The walk from the camper park to Benidorm beach is a good 90 mins

The walk from Villasol to Albir didnt take us 1.30 hrs? but that's surely down to how fast/slow you walk?
I'm confused now too ..The Orange Grove Camper Park is the one I was referring to and yes, I agree that it's not a good idea to do a walk from beni to Albir after a night out in Beni.
Very interested in finding the walk through the pine woods though.

I didnt say we walked from Villasol to the orange grove. We walked from Villasol along the main road to Albir, and it didn't take us 1.5 hours. But as I said, time is surely subject to the capability of the Walker?

How long are you going for..? I’m on the look out for a new van and as soon as I get one and sorted I’m off to the same area..

Keep us updated on this thread along your travels...👍🏼

Good luck..
Gary,
We have been in Calpe for 3 weeks now, weather great and no problems. Just need to wear a mask when out and about.

Last week we walked from Villasol to Albir and then on to the light house.
It showed up as 50 minutes to the first roundabout in Albir by the Albir gardens hotel and 4km on my phone app.
Cheers
Ed

What you said is that it's not a long walk. I pointed out it's about 1hr 30 mins.
You also say it's Albir. It's not. It's in Alfaz

May need to keep an eye on the route to Spain and Portugal - could be border lockdowns? If anyone has any current info, it could be useful 🤞

Excuse me for being geographically inaccurate, but you knew where I was talking about didnt you? But you taking the time to google map it has stopped me from getting lost...thank you!

Also, a long walk to you might not be a long walk to me or Vice versa, so again, its subjective to the walkers ability....no?

No dog.
Also not sure how long to stop.
To late to get a discount card.
Just hope some of the sites are doing deals.
Might even try Albury. I think there's a camperstop stop there.
Hi there,
Wish I could get my Mrs to go out there this week, I'd be heading for Benidorm then Portugal, I do believe some sites do sell the ACSI card direct, may be worth checking lf you think you need it.

Not a problem for us as we are getting the ferry home from Bilbao. 😎

Let us no how you get on which way are you going

Am very jealous !!!! If you are looking for a stop on the way down the coast, a cracking site is L'Ampolla.

Enjoy

Before anyone says ‘why would you want that, you’re in Spain, eat what the Spanish eat, Benidorm, the home of the devil blah blah blah - yes, It’s not Spanish, but it’s owned by a lovely British girl, who has lived in Spain for many many years, and makes the best homemade garlic mayonnaise I think i’ve ever tasted, and when she isn’t there, her staff serve the chips with this...
