Rally [Aug 6, 2015] Bristol Balloon Fiesta Funster Rally. (Brsitol)

Great ideas above - lets get everyone booked in first and then we can move into length etc.

This could get out of hand otherwise.

once we get everyone on board and booked in we can then get something together - just give us a few days and Terry and i will have everything sorted.

we have to be careful as every day we have to wade through lots of thread/comments to try to find anyone who has confirmed as the list/thread gets bigger. We can only have one list ( page one) as any more and confusion gets a big issue.

Apologies, but just hang fire until we get all booked in.

Many thanks,

Trikeman.

Nearly got carried away with the list thingy - deleted now.

Can we slow down here.

regards,

Trikeman.

Tomsk? Used to watch it but can only remember a couple of their names
It's Tobermory - nicest one I could find who lives on the dashboard at rallies :) We call our motorhome Womble due to its number plate letters so we are the Wombles on here.

Thanks Wombles -suddenly I couldnt see the woods for the trees for a minute.

It will be a great success if we can just keep our eyes on the ball - just until we get all booked in.

Regards,

Trikeman. ;0)

To age myself, I'll remind him of the time Aberavon :party2:hammered:party2: them on the Clifton College pitch............but he's probably far too young to look that far back!

Aberavon, now that takes me back a bit. Racing from the sea front through Sandfields on my bike - one of the times in my life i hoped the throttle cable didnt snap or I run out of fuel. ;0)

Good days.

Did you know that I.K. Brunel had a 1" steel rod passed over the gorge from Leigh Woods, (near to our site), by which he and his wife were pulled over in a basket? (before the Clifton Bridge was constructed). Half way over, the basket stuck, so Brunel climbed up ONTO the rod, freed the wheel, and they got across.....:Eeek::Eeek: That's a must see area for me whilst we are there.

Hi Toots - its a must see area for Debs as well, but it will take all of us to get her over it and back - either kicking and screaming or under the influence of alcohol!

HA! Its not there now! It was built as a way of getting workmen over the gorge ready to construct the bridge pylons. however, I have been told that some part of it still remains near to Leigh Woods. Even though Brunel was the engineer for Clifton Suspension Bridge, and it's 'his' bridge still in place and working to this day, he was dead before it was finished, due to a shortage of cash, which held up construction for many years.

sianietheone and Toledo,
you have indicated on the RSVP tag at the top of this thread that you want to attend this rally. Have you sent your booking forms in - have you/not received your confirmations?

I have PM'd twice with no reply - the closing for bookings is tomorrow.

If you have sent your forms in but not heard anything we need to know - date sent, names etc.

Regards,

Trikeman.;)

@Trikeman, if you use the @ sign immediately followed by a user name, they get an alert to your post.
