Is there still one in Bristol Zoo? There was when I was a kid and rides were positively encouraged, I should imagine that's been banned nowadays.

Took the kids there years ago. The Jumbo's were surrounded by a pit, but were begging for buns by extending their trunks, and leaning outwards. So me, (Clever git), grabbed this trunk, and said "Trunk call to an elephant, please....." Jumbo went SNUUUUUUUUUUUUUUfffffffffffffffffffff........And I was covered in green snot........

Straight up, it was a school prize, the only one I ever got as I recollect. I was expected to make an arse of myself feeding them. Teddy was thrown and I repaired to the darkness that was the reptile house!
