Anyone driving to Spain in January?

Curious to know when you sent out your application for a new licence....
I applied in early August and they cashed my cheque in September. There forecast for me to receive it is late December or early January.
Good old customer service.

We’re considering driving over to Spain through France in mid January to do our allotted 12 weeks in Portugal and Spain.
-Anyone else planning on doing this?
Any thoughts?
We have paid for a trip to tour the canaries with gb Motorhome tours leaving 8th January home April our full 90 days allowance. After a trip from this year for five weeks in September till October it was great and can’t wait to go again.
We will be going as long as the French let us 🤦🏻‍♀️😊 just got and enjoy

That sounds brilliant! Could you share some details?

Booked tunnel for Jan 1st and Los Gallardos for 80 nights. Also dog for AHC. Cancelled the lot. COVID restrictions will only get worse.

We're booked on the 4th January Newhaven to Dieppe first time for us going to benidorm trying to find somewhere to have covid test near port but also waiting to see if other restrictions come in

Why not do a self test before setting out for Portsmouth then If your negative you can go ahead and do the LFT .
If we could find someone open near to us on Boxing Day we could have it done as we don’t have to set off until early afternoon.

You will not be disappointed, i went in 2019 & had a fantastic time, i hope to go again 2023. Enjoy your trip.

Leave early January, Newhaven to Dieppe, then slow drive down through France and Spain and on to Portugal. About 2-3 hours driving a day with a serious attempt to break the MPG record for our van (can you believe £1.52 for a couple of pints of diesel?)
Back in April (Covid allowing)

Was booked on the tunnel for Jan 9th but now waiting for a new right hip replacement and an hernia operation. The tunnel is now put back to Sept 1st but hopefully we’ll get across before then.

Have a great time everyone 👍

hi. can you not change to the day after as you could use these at ashford . val
We could change the day with no problem but if we did we could have it done locally anyway before we set off. Having a change of mind though and will probably cancel for now to see how this virus does. Better off at home.

Looks like Spain is going to get mighty busy in the New Year, its Rammed now, with other nationalities, so will it be more rammed, rammed more or Rama-lana-ding-dong...some crazy lyric from years gone by...(The Edsels 1961) other covers available. I've gone into hiding.....  (y) :xThumb::xThumb::xThumb::xThumb::xThumb:

Give Mediterranio Camperstop a ring. Very accommodating.

hi mikeco . just managed to get our 6 months checkup at rasen dentist before we go . we find the opposite going abroad from having to leave the campsite in Spain 2019 march ( covid ) to 2 other trips to France both 2 months touring. we found you are better off there than Tesco's here but we are not talking about places like Benidorm just pick your safe places to visit & stay sensible that's all you need to do val

The town is very quiet in the evening too, most unusual. We are contemplating what to do as well. Think you were chatting to my hubby the other day about the dogs

Yes, hoping to go mid Jan. Just waiting to see what happens so nothing booked yet
