Any Tips For The Driver?

West Street and Cook Street in Glasgow were disasters waiting to happen.

1994, West Street 5 Girl Guides and Leaders killed when a double decker allegedly following another Guide Leaders car taking a short-cut to the Kingston Bridge sheered off it's roof (10' 6" clearance!) . Bus was meant to go via Clyde Tunnel! Street is now blocked off at one side but there's still access under the bridge.

A few years later another one tried to get under Cook Street bridge (just around the corner from West Street) did the same. 15' 3" bridge immediately around a corner from main road and immediately followed by a 12' 6" bridge! Fortunately bus was empty on it's way to depot. They've now narrowed the road under it to 7' 3".

Give up driving,you’re incompetent.
With this one .

I drove up to Clitheroe from manchester yesterday.

Roads are clogged with idiots who either can’t drive or are too busy updating Facebook.

My wife was my passenger giving me agg for not answering her when she was speaking to me . I told her I was too busy concentrating...

There is a solution to the headroom issue ... get a low VW camper....

Perhaps you can solve the mystery of why the Duchess decides to talk to me when I’m changing lanes or negotiating a roundabout or turning right in busy traffic or overtaking a tractor or peloton of wandering cyclists???????????

Its a ****** mystery to me. Then she complains coz I haven’t answered her. Ye godfathers! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Open eyes before getting behind steering wheel.... ouch that gonna hurt the wallet
Naw, it's the 2021 must have m/home; a hybrid of a cabriolet and a PCV with side door access to clean behind the cooker ...

I wouldn't have been keen to put our car through that underpass, I'd certainly have thought twice about it.
I simply can't understand why drivers don't spot this kind of obstacle, but I suppose driving ability varies enormously.

I called the first Mrs Marchie Old Gun Dog; 'cos she sat on her a**e all day and yapped ... ;) Can't remember why we divorced each other...

Steve
Yea agree why can't they keep their mouths shut it's mostly drivel.
When we arrive at a destination I always ask if I have passed or failed.
That's an idea I'll give her a clipboard

Elaine would belt me with the clipboard, especially when I remark about passing, by observing that I have no recollection of having eaten it in the first place ...

Steve

Can you discretely elaborate on that.
It's a rehash of an old piece of Office graffiti: Attached to the [then] ubiquitous wire basket that contained invoices awaiting processing was a request, 'Please pass invoices immediately', to which the Office Wag had added: 'But why eat them in the first place?' ;)

Steve

A detour would have helped !
Hi.
There is a nice Aire at Buchy. A while back you could walk the dog on the College playing fields, but they have built on them now and taken a Third of the parking space that was once the Aire. Nice village though, just a stroll away.

We have one near where we live that constantly gets hit. They put up 13 warning signs. Didn't help.
Agh that’s the problem 13. Should have put 12 or 14
I blame the council 😀
