Adblue removal

Standard basic engine on the Autograph 68-2 2L 140BHP, not sure of adblue tank size, but from warning light on it took 10L to fill it.
Tows well, never struggles, but I'm used to stirring the box.

The DVLA have been cracking down on lorries using AdBlue defeat devices for several years and their use has now fallen. It is only a matter of time before they start roadside checks on the rest of us.
Edit.
p.s. people poisoning my grandchildren to save a few £ makes me angry.
You're still poisoning your grandchildren by using a internal combustion engined vehicle purely for leisure purposes.
Staying home sitting in your garden would be the better option if "Not Poisoning Your Grandchildren" was your priority.

At 72. I’ve no idea how I or any of us have survived?
Or maybe the poisoning has been slightly overstated?

Driving is the only reason to be alive. What else is there?
Where it went wrong was allowing people to use vehicles who think they are a means of getting from AtoB , something to do the shopping in or carry the fat barstewards to school instead of making them walk & keep fit.
Staying home sitting in your garden would be the better option
Why would you sit at home? Ever?

The fact that Adblue systems are far from reliable is a major part of the problem add in the fact that the whole tank, pump ela tronic control unit has to be replaced as one unit makes repair way more costly than it should be and far less green..this coupled with the count down to non starting was why I chose not to buy a new tank unit for mine mainly reliability, having had to return to the UK a few hours after getting of the ferry in france,in a van under 5 years old and under 30k miles,in the event nox testing becomes part of the MOT I will reinstate it MOT the van and sell it
(I do have a spare tank so the cost will be £250 to re map)In this event I will buy an older more polluting without Adblue

The way I see it only very few owners would ever consider adblue delete and only if they were having problems .
So % wise is very small, so would that mean a lot of very expensive equipment to check a very small percentage of vehicles and with ICE coming to an end would it be worth the effort?

I'd love to think your thinking is right but unfortunately it's not a few the deleters are and have been kept busy for some years now most garages will suggest delete as a first option to a fault many of them have no clue where to start repairing even some main agents suggest it as a cheap permanent problem solver

I’m sure your right little old UK saving the world from global warming 🤣
We are but a pimple on the arse of the world.
But then again it’s ok to run a high polluting vehicle if you pay the government tax, don’t make it right😳

Yes stop spending money on preventing global warming it's happening no matter what the UK does...spend on flood defences and other mitigating measures.
Oh and of course the government won't pay for nox testing kit the garage owners will and in return receive a rise in MOT charges. So we'll pay as always
