A photo of your van camping last night

Neither, sorry. Newark Air Museum. (y)
After politely asking I was able to stay overnight, locked out of the museum naturally but locked in, happily, by the car auction people. (y)
That’s a great idea, we called last year but didn’t stay.

I had the sunset display all to myself.

Where in Fort William is that ,is it beside Lidl and Morrisons ?
just another 100 or so yards further on on the left. https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/marker.php?id=46452

I've used the Lidl one before with no problems but we arrived on a Saturday and it was rammed with shoppers and one camper.
So this was plan B, only a fiver and technically only 5 or 6 motorhome specific spaces (which we managed to somehow get, pure luck), but as you can see it's fairly obvious the council are happy to make money on what would otherwise be a pretty empty car park overnight.

I was once watching the ISS pass over and thought I saw another smaller speck trailing it. The next day I heard on the radio that one of the shuttles had docked with it during our night so I guess that is what I saw. Another time I was watching a satellite and saw it flash much brighter, it seems this happens when the solar panels catch the sunlight and reflect it directly in your direction.

A true sea view campsite, overlooking the Ramsey Sound in Pembrokeshire. Thats us on the right. Site was Rhosson Ganol. Highly recommended if you don’t mind simple but well-kept, no shop, windy conditions, steep pitches and mesmerising views.

Well, tonight it’s the Metal Inn Bridge Britstop on the border, 10 of us parked up.
On our way back from Truma Uk in Derby where we had our gas combi switched out for their new generation diesel combi. Would highly recommend them, they are the uk experts, beautiful premises and very friendly and helpful.
Giving the boiler its first trial tonight!

Personal I know, but what sort of price are you talking? It’s something to think about for us in the long term I think.

The one downside of the Rear Kitchen Layout on a VW is the lack of storage for large items.

It was an expensive solution, but easier than a trailer.
Yeah was surprised by the price but looks fantastic.

At Ambois, sun is shining and we are not on electric. 🥳🥳 trying the solar and batteries. As they worked at Drax, eventually.

There’s a camping car park next door and they are packed in like. sardines. Think we’ll enjoy our big pitch.

Will take a stroll round this wonderful town tomorrow and have lunch out.
