Double decker bus for breakfast in the morning? :tounge:
With the risk of sounding pretentious I would advocate that the beach is looking a little worse for wear since the council allowed the addition of the various burger van outlets along the beach road, what was wrong with breakfast at the Inversnecky?
However, it is a great stop over with amazing views which can be seen in my post. I just wish the Council would do a little more to support the motorhome community, so much could be done. I'm an Aberdeen loon at heart having grown up there and still have family living there (Cults)

I'm just happy they haven't banned MH's from the beach altogether . I would guess they have had a few complaints from busy bodies.

Agree about the vans although the bus does do a better breakfast than any of the beach front restaurants I've tried. The little cheesecake van is great also.

I was there a few weeks ago watching the dolphins chasing salmon. Huge fish jumping out the water trying to escape. It was great. Love parking up there.

The view from tonight's park-up. The sosta at Roccascalega, high in the Italian hills
The drive up to Roccascalega is not for the faint-hearted, for that matter, nor will be the drive back down. :tmi:

View from the paying guests down to the FLT spot at Rathmullen, County Donegal, Eire. The FLTs will have had it rough, seems the boy racers are in town for a big rally in the peninsula. They were revving engines and donuts till gone 3 and restarted the revs at 8. Was bad enough up here through heavy rain.

Where are you parked and did you stay overnight?
Yes overnight. It's on the island in the middle of the seine just opposite the cathedral. 11 euros with water and waste dumping. Toilet in the daytime. - On Park 4 Night.

There's another free park 5 mins down the road with no facilities. - On search for sites.

Did it feel secure as we've heard some terrible reports about parking in Rouen.

Were you there for the Tall Ships? I noticed them all assembled as I drove to Dieppe on Wednesday. There was going to be a grand parade at the weekend.

Absolutely. There were around 8 vans there. Felt fine. It is in a compound with gates, although the gates were not shut. The other place down the road ( we moved there for the day as the payimg one was shutting at midday for an event or something) had even more vans there and was just an open space. We left the van there for 6 hours. Didn't feel any different to other French Aires in terms of Safety.

No. Unfortunately it all finished on the 18th (Sunday). The Armarda festival was from 8th -18th. Even the light show on the cathedral was paused from the 19th for 3 days so missed that too!
