A photo of the day thread

The six week road closure they put in place in October might get lifted after only 5 months () as it looks as if they're ready to swing the new bridge span over the B5299 into place ?
Every closure they've instigated has gone way over their projected time span, (including footpath closures) and our daily commute has gone from 3 miles to just over 6 miles each way, but the contractor, Galliford Try were awarded an industry commendation for their work ethic back in December !
Local shops in the next village have seen a big drop off in trade and the butcher said Christmas was the only time they were seeing normal footfall.

The civil engineering is impressive, but it's not enough to placate my NIMBY genes !

Yes some nice old buildings and a pleasant dog walk along canal and an outside laundrette in coop carpark

A lovely walk to Goðafoss waterfall, just prior to an Orange weather alert preventing us going on to Húsavík to see the sites in the film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. Whilst there a Weinsberg PVC parked near us.

Absolutely stunning. Best country in the world. Been there four times, never tired of it. Would like to go in winter. Envy? Yes :ROFLMAO:
