Our uke jam leader makes ukes in his tiny garden shed.

I asked him to make our Rob a tenor for his birthday…

One happy (albeit scruffy) 32 year old.

It sounded good too. He plays the guitar - doesn’t know uke chords, so completely by ear played I’ll See You In My Dreams… don’t you just hate ‘em!!

Sorry, decided one more.
Under are the roads we travelled and where we stayed and for how long.
2,932 Ks = 1,832 miles
Petrol average was eqiv £1.85 to £1.95lte
Virtually zero traffic once out of the hamlets (cannot call them anything else as most were nothing more than a few houses.
Hotel rooms with brekkie was avg £195 p/n
Food (evenings) was about 30% more expensive than a half decent meal in UK in a good eating house.
Max speed limit on any part of the Island is 90 kph..........................don't speed as fines are tearful.
People we met and spoke to were all very pleasant and helpful...............AND they ALL spoke perfect Innglish.
The sites to see, the vistas were at times breathtaking.
In summary, absolutely loved it, and yes i would recommend it. But then again people are funny eh, we each like strange things.

Beach bar is ramping up for the start of the season but can still manage a fresh grilled sea bream - dorada - to die for. Water, WC, bins all available, and greengrocer and mini-market vans call in occasionally.

On the old diesel train today from Llangollen to Corwen. Was supposed to be a steam train but the steam train was not running because of the dry conditions and risk of fire. They had two fires this week because everywhere is so dry. At least there were no leaves on the tracks. 😂Still a good morning. Got the seat behind the driver so I could see where we were going. 👍

Not too far away from you at Fussen.

We were there last May, very nice village and walks.
Are you on the Stelplatz at the end?

Nice Coffee shop there owned by an Italian that lived in Australia and now lives in Fussen😁
Are you going to Dinkelsbuhl? That’s worth a visit, nice Stelplatz a5 minute walk to the village and a restaurant there did one of the best burgers ever😋😋😋

Yes on the Stellplatz, ‘Fussen Mobil’ a great location, facilities and unmetered electric at €26. Not sure about next stop, got a few castles to do but might give Dinkelsbuhl a look.

We went to the next one down, they have a little restaurant that was ok for a meal.

Arrived too late yesterday to get on any of the Stellplatz so had to use a local site…. €51 plus metered electric, ouch! The kids, partying groups, barking dogs and general bedlam were free tho’! 🥴. Many German sites seem to be like that so the Stellplatz is a haven of relative peace and moderate pricing.

You must have experienced the delights of aire style camping?
Still confused with the different sites.
If those vans are parked up to stay then no thanks, wouldn't want to upset the neighbours with HRHs snoring.
