Just visiting my youngest daughter’s house to water the plants while they are away and found this Sparrowhawk by the door. There were pigeon feathers on the ground so I’m surmising it swooped and went into the window behind and did itself in. Must have only just happened before I arrived as it was still warm and the flies hadn’t had a chance to get on it.

I know you did, very dry and dusty around the fields… very warm this week.

I park by the lifeguard building and stream and watch the waves at porthtowan…

Beautiful birds but deadly to other birds. I used to have Doves but the Sparrow Hawk took them all.

Huh I wouldn't mind a bit of warm... here it's been cold, wet & windy, that's stopped for the evening but the cloud's descended round our ears.

We had something similar a few years ago. I went to get a shovel and it opened its eyes, shook itself down and flew off. Must have had one hell of a headache

Did my PADI in the Caribbean and loved diving.
Best was an inland fresh water cave dive in Florida, amazing.

Great site Southport with plenty to do especially with grandkids........but we're knac@@@@ered it was fun though.
